Mpreg is male pregnancy, plain and simple.

Omegas are also males that can get pregnant, but there's alot more to it than that. In the Omegaverse there's Alphas and Betas. There's a wolf concept involved.
When writing about Omegas, you have to include the whole Omegaverse.
MPreg is a way to write in a male pregnancy with simplicity.

I discovered all this when i found my first fandom and fanfics: One Direction. There is so much MPreg there.

At first I was a bit weirded out, like you probably are.
But the more it popped up the more I understood why it was the easiest way to do it. (When it comes to gay couples of course)

Writing in an adoption process can take alot away from the original plotline.
Say there's a man who cheats on his wife with another man. (Morality isn't the topic here)
They build a relationship.
Now they're not gonna go out of their way to adopt a baby when that is such an obvious inconvenience.

But what if they made one? Then what?
Then the man might have to live a double life with a secret family. Or he might have to go through a messy divorce.
To decide to have a baby, and then go search for one would be a major hit to the plotline.

I also see other issues with writing adoption like the biological parents, the pain of giving up the child, how the child will grow up knowing they're adopted... The list goes on.
I feel like someone always loses when there's an adoption.

I don't have a problem with real life adoption. I encourage it. This is only my writing preference.

This part is just to let you know that MPreg and Omegaverse is definitely a thing, and why I use it. I have no tips for writing it in properly because there's so many different styles.

If you want to learn more, search here on Wattpad for MPreg or Omega.

If you search on Google make sure to type in Omegaverse because Omega gives info about dogs.

Sorry if I ruined your day!
