Ladies' Man

"What...what did you just say?"

Scott pulls himself away from Courtney. He looks down at her and sees a few purple bruises on her neck.

Huh. Did I make those, or were those there before? Scott questions himself uneasily.

"I...um...I said pumpkin?" Courtney laughs nervously.

He smiled, shaking off the thoughts that popped into his head.

She wouldn't, he reassures himself. He lets out a semi-forced laugh.

"Ohhh. I thought you said Duncan. Y'know, your ex-boyfriend?"

"Duncan?! Pfft...why would I..." Courtney swallows nervously. "Why would I say Duncan?" Her voice becomes more high-pitched due to nerves, and it sounds as if she just snapped a little.

Scott wraps his arms around her waist again. He tries to reassure her that what happened didn't mean anything. I mean...did it?

"I don't know, babe. It's fine. Let's just forget about it."

Courtney nods, wraps her arms around his neck, and says "yeah" before giving him a kiss.

Eventually, the two lovebirds find themselves in Courtney's bedroom, on Courtney's bed. Courtney is straddling Scott and kissing him passionately. He places his hands on her hips and kisses her back with the same passion. He moves one of his hands lower so that he's cupping her ass. Courtney gasps into the kiss and giggles.

Suddenly, a wave of guilt hits her. How could she just pretend nothing happened when Scott was so sincere and caring? What if she moaned the wrong name again? This was a risk that wasn't worth taking.

I can't do this right now, she decides.

Scott slips his other hand under Courtney's shirt and bra and rubs her breast.

"Is this okay?" He asks.

Courtney nods. She moans as Scott plays with her nipple and grinds against him before putting her hands on his arms and pinning them to his sides. Scott smirks.

Before anything else happens, Courtney tells Scott:

"Let's not do this tonight."

Scott's smirk is wiped from his face. He nods solemnly before patting the space in the bed next to him. Courtney lays beside him but decides to face the opposite direction so that she wouldn't have to confront him. She was scared that one look into his blue eyes would cause her to confess. Courtney loved Scott's eyes. Seeing them made her feel like she was sinking into the ocean. For what she did to him, she definitely deserved death by drowning.

Courtney thinks of Duncan's blue eyes. She used to love those too...maybe she still did.

Snap out of it! You're being a horrible boyfriend! She internally scolds herself.

Scott wraps his arms around her.

"Night, babe. I love you."

Courtney doesn't say it back and the silence sits between them awkwardly.

Courtney and Scott cuddle with each other until they both eventually fall asleep.

After that night with Courtney, things didn't sit well with Scott. The fact that he heard her say Duncan's name must have meant something. He also didn't like the fact that she didn't say "I love you" back. Not that she was obligated to or anything, but you never know. The two things could be related. In general, though, Scott felt uneasy, and he needed answers. And for the first time in a long time, he felt like Courtney wouldn't give them to him. So he decided to go to the source of this whole mess: Duncan.

Scott sits in the meeting room nervously. He didn't exactly have a problem with Duncan while on Total Drama All-Stars, but Scott knew Duncan used to have feelings for Courtney. Hopefully he wouldn't act on his feelings or even still have those feelings at all. I mean, c'mon, its been months! It'd be concerning if Duncan kept his crush throughout his prison sentence. Were Duncan and Courtney really that close? In love to the point where long periods of separation didn't affect their feelings for each other? Scott hoped this wasn't true.

Duncan is practically pushed inside the room by a guard. Duncan approaches the meeting table warily, unsure of why Scott even bothered to visit him. He puts on a smile and a cheerful facade, not wanting to set off any alarms within Scott.

"Farm boy!" Duncan exclaims. "Good to see you. How's life treating you?"

"I'm doing better than you, if that's what you're asking," Scott retorts.

"Well alright. What do you want?"

"I want to know what you did to Courtney."

"What I did to Courtney?" A smirk tugged at the edge of Duncan's lips. "Or what I did with Courtney?"

Scott grinds his teeth.

"If you hurt her-"

Duncan scoffed. "Please. Why would I hurt her? I'm in prison, I don't want things to get any worse. If I hurt her I probably wouldn't be allowed to see you."

Makes sense, Scott decided.

"Listen, I know you and Courtney used to have a thing, but that's over. I'm her girlfriend now. And nothing is going to change that. This court case may have screwed things up, but I'll never leave Courtney's side."

"But how can you be sure she'll never leave yours?"

Scott hesitated for a moment. He wasn't sure how to answer that. Courtney would pick him instead of Duncan...right?

A guard suddenly burst open the door.

"Alright, time's up," the guard gruffly states.

Duncan groans. "Are you kidding? This is less time than you gave me with my last guest! C'mon, man!"

The guard smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

"Not my fault you want to smash a prep and a goth chick in the same week. Can't leave you alone with people for too long after you-know-what."

Scott's eyes widen. Does he mean...Gwen? What'd Duncan do to her?

"Oh shit, man," Duncan curses quietly to himself. He looks up at Scott, his eyes pleading for mercy.

"Please don't tell Courtney," he begs.

Scott stands up and walks out of the room without saying a word.

Scott struggles to use technology, but works at it until he finds a way to contact Gwen through social media.

Hey Gwen, his message starts off. I'd like to talk about things...and stuff. When can we meet?

Gwen responds almost immediately, which surprises Scott.

Well, Scott thinks to himself, Time to find out what Duncan is doing to all of these ladies.
