Chapter Fourteen

Hopper steps on the thing, as it tried to escape.  Ms. Byers, and some random dude, walk in along with Hopper. I put my scarf around El's leg, and helped her off the floor, as she went over to Hopper and hugged him tightly, as he does the same. Hey Hopper", I say. Hey kid", He smiles. Yoohoo!", the man shouts as he ran over to us. The man came up with a plan on how they would get pass the Russians, until he was cut off by Erica.
More like 500. What? you guys think you're gonna just walk in their like it's commie Disney land, or something?" says Erica. Who are you?" The man says. Erica. Who are you?"she says in a sassy tone. Murray Bauman. Look Mr. Bauman, I'm not trying to tell you how to do things. But I've been in that shithole, for 24 hours, and all do respect, you do what this man tells, you to do, you're all going to die", she sassed. Excuse me but why is this 4 year old speaking to me?"he says. I'm 10, you bald bastard", she sassed. I tried my best not to laugh, but this girl is just way too funny, for me to do that", I thought. Dustin told us their plan, but Hopper tells them no. Dustin became persuasive enough, for Hopper to agree to the plan. After Hopper, Joyce, and Murray left to close the gate,Steve, Robin, Dustin, and Erica left and went to the field where Dustin set his Ham Radio, at. The party and I, followed Nancy, and Jonathan outside, of the Mall, as Nancy tried to start the car. For some reason the car won't start. I popped open the hood of the car to see what the problem is. The ignition cable is gone", Jonathan explained to me and Nancy. Suddenly we hear a familiar sound of a revving engine. No other than Billy. Shit", both me and Nancy mutter. We ran back into the mall, and tried to push the car that El flipped over, along with Mike and Max, with our hands. It didn't work. Nancy loaded her gun, as me and Max walk over to her. You're going to kill Billy aren't you?" Max frowns. Of course not Max. You won't kill him right?" I say a little concerned. No, this is just for precaution okay?" She replied. We try to push the car over again, but just became unsuccessful. I can do it", El says quietly. El is supposed to be getting some rest, on the bench, but she wants to help", I thought. El tries to use her powers, but nothing happens. It's okay El,  we'll try another way", says Mike. Mike comes up with an idea to take the seats of the chairs, uses the leg to flip over the car. 3,2,1 push!", Jonathan shouts, as we flipped the car back over. Told you. Physics", Mike says, which is from a lesson his teacher taught him. Nancy and Jonathan try to pop open the hood of the car open. Me, Mike, and Max, notice El looking through a trash can. What is she doing?" says Max. The three of us walk over to El. El, are you okay?" says Mike. El looks at us, but doesn't respond. All of sudden, I see Will raise his hand up to the back of his neck again, as he looks at us. The roof of the mall starts to skake, as if something is walking on top of it. Nancy!" Mike shouts. We all stand in fear for a moment. Mike grabs El, by the hand, as Max grabs my hand, and we hide behind the counter. Nancy, Jonathan, Lucas, and Will, hide behind the car we flipped over. The Mind flayer came in from the ceiling. We all stay silent in fear. The mind flayer snarled, and growls. This is Dustin, do you copy? Over", Dustin says through the walkie talkie, that we left on a small table. The Mind flayer snatches it off the table, and growls into it, then tosses it. If we go up the stairs now, we can escape", Mike whispers. No way, not with El's leg", Max replies. There's another way through the Gap", El whispers. Okay now, go, go, go", I whisper shout. We quietly run over to the Gap store in the mall, and accidentally knock down some accessories, as the mind flayer spun around, and began to go towards the Gap. Me, Mike, and El, hide behind another counter. The fleshy creature grabs a figure of a mannequin that has the same close El does, and tossed it near us. The Mind flayer almost finds us, until a balloon pops, which made the creature, go the opposite way of us. Mike grabs El by the hand, Max grabs me by the hand, as we began to run, along with Nancy, Jonathan, Will, and Lucas. Me, Mike, Max, and El, separate from Nancy, Jonathan, Will, and Lucas, as they go the other way. We run outside helping El, as I look for Nancy's car, but she left. All of a sudden we see Billy get out of his car that's set on fire, as he walks towards us. Shit", we all say in unison. We spin back around and started running the opposite direction.
