The Battle of Starcourt Part 2 (16)

We ran to the center of Starcourt, to see Billy just standing there, El can't move, because she's weak. The Mind flayer is right in front of Billy, ready to take El. Me, Mike, and Max, stand in fear. The mind flayer reaches its tentacles out for El, until Billy stops the creature, with his arms. Billy shouts no to the mind flayer. The mind flayer, stabs Billy with its tentacles. Billy doesn't give up as he fights back, not letting it get El. Nancy, Jonathan, Will, Lucas, Steve, and Robin start throwing firecrackers over the terrace at the mind flayer.

The mind flayer stabs Billy in the chest. Billy!! Me and Max shout. The creature takes it's tentacle out of Billy, as he falls to the floor. Me and Max gasp in disbelief. A few minutes later, the mind flayer starts to snarl and its body starts forming into a big and small form, as we get out of the way, it collapsed to the floor. Mike runs over to El, as me and Max slowly walk over to Billy, as he chokes off of his blood. Billy?" we say in unison. Me and Max bent over to Billy. Billy get up please get up", Max exclaims sadly, as she shakes him. Billy it's going to be okay just stay with us", I say, as tears begin to fall. I'm- sorry", he says, as he takes his last breath. Billy? Billy?" I sob as I shake him. Max cries into El's arms, as Mike comes over to comfort me as I cry. I let go of Mike, as I begin to have an emotional breakdown. No! No, no, no. Why!" I exclaim sadly. Mike comes back over to me, and hugs me tightly. The ambulance came, and took Billy's body. The paramedics brought everyone outside of Starcourt, as they check us for wounds. Joyce finally came back, but there's no sign of Hopper. El cries into Mike arms as he walks over to her, which gives me the signal that sadly Hopper didn't make it. Max comes over to me, and sits by me in the ambulance. Max starts sobbing, as I pull her in for a comforting hug. After Max leaves the ambulance, Mike and Nancy come and sit beside me. I'm so sorry Ciara, about Heather, and Billy. I mean I know they were your friends. I was just as upset when Barb died", Nancy says, as she held my hand. It's all my fault, I should have done something",I sob. It's not your fault Ciara", Mike chimes in. I've missed you guys so much, I think I'm gonna stay here in Hawkins", I say. That's amazing but what about Reed?" Mike asked me. I'll just take a gap year", I smile slyly. Mike, and Nancy hug me tightly.
