Chapter Forty Three

I can't believe my eyes as I see Billy and Hopper. "Ted?" My mom mutters in disbelief. "He's working for the Russians!" My sister spat.

"Ted, what is she talking about?" My mom exclaims. "Oh, you finally came back to Hawkins after you left me for that scoundrel!" My dad spats. "Ted, what are you talking about? I never left you!" My mom tells my dad.

I stand there like a dumbass as I stare at Billy, not saying a word. I feel butterflies in my stomach which I hate. I've never felt this way before. I feel disgusted with myself for accidentally having these feelings for Billy. There's so many questions running through my head but none are said. Billy locks his eyes on me. I quickly look away, clearing my throat.

"I loved you and you left me for him!" My dad exclaims, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Ted I didn't leave you!" My mom argues.

My father came closer to Billy.

"My daughter, caught you getting jiggy with my wife at Motel 6"

What the hell is he talking about?!" My sister and Brother exclaim angrily.

"I'm so sorry Ted, I was attracted to Billy, we were planning on going to Motel 6, but we didn't. I changed my mind." My mom exclaims sadly.

Everyone gives my mom disgusted stares.

Before my mom can say anything else, double doors burst open revealing Murray Bauman and a man I'm assuming is a doctor or something.

"This dimension we are in is an alternate universe, whatever happened last year didn't actually happen in this universe, but we're somewhere in the middle of what actually did happen in our world as well." Murray explains to us.

My dad cocks his gun.

"I'm going to end you Billy," my dad says, pointing his gun at Billy.

My eyes welled up with tears, as I try to speak but nothing comes out of my mouth.

Suddenly my mom cocks her gun at my dad.

"Ted, if you pull that trigger God so help me, I will end you!" My mom exclaims angrily.

I notice everyone's eyes widen in shock.

Please don't." I mumble hoping no one heard me.

My dad slowly lowers his gun.

"We have to get out of this lab now." Joyce says. We sprint out of the lab as my mom still has her gun pointing at my dad, as he puts his hands up in surrender.

We stroll back over to our cars. I notice Max run over to Billy hugging him tightly, crying in his arms as he wraps his arms around her. I'm happy for Max, maybe they'll get along after everything that's happened. I start thinking about how Billy came back and why didn't the other flayed come back with him?
