I kiss Colby goodbye for the third time in a row.
"Okay cowboy settle down" I giggle at his attempt to kiss me again.
"Tonight was fun" he grinned and put his hand in his pockets.
"Yes it was, I should go. My dads gunna kill me" I laugh.
"Okay, one more kiss though?" He titled his head.
I nod and peck him on the lips.
"I love you" I smile.
"Love you more" he gives me his signature smirk and walks to his car.
I smile to myself then walk in.
I kick my shoes off and head upstairs.
"Where have you been?" My father's voice stops me at the top on the stairs.
I turn around.
"I was out with Colby, I told you"
"You were out past 11, your phone" he sticks his hand out.
I went to say something but my mom butts in.
"Honey it was only a half hour past 11, don't be so harsh" my mom says sweetly.
"I said not past 11, she broke the rule that means a consequence" his face hardened.
"Y/n please go upstairs, get ready for bed" my mom said.
I nodded and headed up to my room.
I sat down and waited for what I knew was gunna happen.

I began to hear louder voices. They weren't yelling. But my dads voice was raised.
I fall back into my bunch of pillows and sigh.

"YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING!" My dads booming voice startled me.
"NO I JUST KNOW THAT YOURE WRONG!" She shouts back.
"THAT STUPID BOYFRIEND OF HERS IS NO DAMN GOOD!" My dad yells.
My heart rate increased. They talk about Colby....
"WELL HES NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND!" She defends me.
"WELL SHES MY DAUGHTER, BY TOMORROW SHE WONT HAVE ONE!" A door slams.

I sat there in shock. Tears slid down my face. I won't let that happen. After finding Colby, I wouldn't want anyone else. My dad isn't about to mess that up.
Moments later just when I thought the arguing had stopped I heard my parents talking loudly again.

"I can't help with that, your the one with the job" I hear my mom through my door.
"Well then maybe you should get one!" He yells.
"I was fired yesterday!" My mom fires back.
"That's not my problem is it?!" My dads voice raises.
"Well then maybe you should get a higher paying job!" My mom shouts.
"WHY IS IT ALL ON ME FOR EVERYTHING, WHAT IF I LEFT. YOUD BE WORTHLESS" he shouts louder.
My tears clouded my vision. Even thought they've fought many times before. It still got to me.
"HOW DARE YOU!" My mom shout back.
"YOUR JUST TO INSECURE TO ADMIT ITS THE OTHER WAY AROUND!" She adds.
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" A loud shatter came after that.
My eyes widened. They've never broken anything before. I'm beyond scared.
I go to the one person I need right now.
Colby.
I text him with shaky hands.

Y/n
Please come pick me up, it's happening again. Just worse.
Colbs
I'll be right there. I love you.
Y/n
Thank you baby.

I set down my phone and get my charger and the long rope in the corner of my closet.
I open my window and set it down and tying it to the post.
I wait for Colby's car, while listening to the non stop screaming.
I see a car pull up to the side of the room with the headlights off. Signalling it's Colby.
I climb down the rope and run to the car.

"Thank you" I say climbing in the passenger seat, out of breath with a tear stained face.
"Any time baby, let's go somewhere else to talk" his words were laced with sadness.

Colby pulled up to the little diner where we had our first date.
I turn my head to him and give him a small smile.

"Just two waters are fine for now thank you" Colby told the waiter.
"So, um tonight was bad" I mumble rubbing my arm.
"What happened?" He asked concerned.
"Well they yelled, like usual. But then they started talking about you. My dad doesn't want us to be together" I let my head hang low.
He lifts my chin up with his finger. "Who cares what your dad says, I'm not going anywhere" he smiles.
"Thank you," I blush.
"And then something broke" I whispered, barely audible.
"What?" He raised his voice a little.
"They broke something, a shatter was all I heard" I said a little louder for him to hear.
"They fucking broke something?" His voice raised a little more since we were the only ones here.
I winced at the tone of his voice, reminding me of my dad.
"No no no, baby. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice" he went quieter.
"It's fine" I lift my head back up.
"Want to spend the night at mine?" He asked.
"I should probably go back, what if I'm not there when they wake up. They'll go ballistic. Then they'll both not want me to see you" I tell him.
"Okay, but on the car ride there if you change your mind. Tell me" we get up and throw our cups out.

"Thank you Colby" I kiss his cheek and get out of the car.
"Anytime babe," he smiled. "Love you".
"Love you too"
He waited until i got back up to my room and waved down to him.
God I love this boy.
