daniel had walked away from jonah. he had been so confused with his feelings that he didn't know what to do.

the school day had now ended and daniel really didn't want to go home, he needed some time.

he limped over to the bleachers, resting on them as soon as he got there. the pain in his hips were unbelieveabely strong.

he closed his eyes and rested a bit thinking about events.

he soon opened his eyes sighing a bit, looking around. he saw that majority of everyone left which was good.

he looked around a bit, soon seeing the familiar face of zach under a tree near him. he got up slowly walking over to the smaller boy.

the smaller boy saw daniel and took his eyes of the book he was reading, which just so happened to be percy jackson.

daniel took it as an invitation and sat down next to him. the younger had tucked his legs into his chest and faced daniel.

"hi dani," he said shyly. "hey." daniel responded. he knew to be careful with the boy, he was very fragile.

daniel looked at zach before saying, "i love your outfit, it suits you."

zach had blushed deeply, whispering a small 'thank you.'

he had blushed because he had never been complimented on his outfits, espcially since they were feminine.

he was mostly made fun of by the popular girls for "trying to look as good as them". but in all honesty, he was wearing it better then they were, and they were too jealous to admit it.

the small boy had been wearing a oversized gray sweater tucked into mom jeans that were rolled up by the ankles. he paired them with black doc martins, a wave ring, a star necklace, and his fake glasses.

daniel had been trying to make conversation with the brunette, before going to the topic he was really there for.

"so have you been thinking about anything lately, or anyone?" the older questioned.

zach blushed and tucked his head further into his knees. "i'm not big about sharing things in my personal life," zach stated.

"i know, but you know i am your friend. and you can trust me, because, if we are being honest, im not the most popular in the school, if you know what i mean."

zach nooded before sighing. "i think i have feelings for someone. though i am not really sure. i have never had feelings for someone so i wouldn't know." zach said with a bit more confidence.

"he has the most beautiful curly hair, and his smile can light up a whole room, and its so contagious. he has been trying to get with me but i'm just scared and-"

"you mean jack?" daniel questioned. zach blushed but slowly nodded his head.

"it might take you some time to believe, but jack is probably the sweetest person i have ever met, and there is no need to be scared."

zach let a small smile to creep onto his lips as he nodded his head. "let me get your number, so we can talk more." daniel suggested.

zah nooded his head, opening his unlocking i-phone 11 pro max, and handing it to daniel. daniel typed his number, giving zach his phone back.

he gave the boy one last smile, before grabbing his backpack and walking off.
