jonah sighed out of boredom, carrying a child in his arms who seemed to sleeping peacefully. his mother was out with his sisters taking them shopping, and his dad was no where to be known, not that he wasn't thankful.

he was rocking on his toes and heels, looking around the empty house and thinking to himself. he was bored out of his mind and had no where to go.

jonah parked in the familiar driveway, twisting the key to his car as he heard the engine turn off. suddenly, he had some where to go. he glanced over his right shoulder, smiling softly at the baby who was still sleeping peaceful and in a safe carrier in the passenger seat.

he made his way out the car, whistling softly a tune as he grabbed the bag from the backseat and walked over to the other side of the car to carefully pick up the sleeping child.

when he had everything secure in his hands being the baby, the baby bag, his keys, wallet and phone; he sauntered his way over the sidewalk to the decently sized house using a free finger to ring the doorbell delightfully.

upon hearing the small ding, he swayed slightly letting a soft yet smile fall across his face when the door revealed who he was looking for; daniel. ( i was gonna do tate just to throw you off but i'm not that mean )

the brunette looked at him tiredly, in nothing more than an oversized grey crewneck, fuzzy socks, and some jewelry including his earrings, chains, and rings. he tilted his head in confusion, staring at the brunette blankly as he switched his glances between jonah and the baby.

"i don't recall you being on the guest list of people to come to my  house today—" he sent jonah a sarcastic smile. "in fact, i don't remember anyone being on the guest list; especially not a baby." the slightly, blonde-headed boy rolled his eyes and walked away leaving the door open.

the brunette just shrugged, taking the open door as an invitation to invite himself inside. he walked through the frame, shutting the door behind him softly while he swayed the baby in his right hand.

he looked around, finding himself in the living room easily, taking a seat next to daniel and placing the baby on the middle table.

"your house is extremely empty." jonah commented, staring down at the boy who was looking at the t.v. that played no show that he was particularly interested in.

"i live alone." he said plainly.

figuring it was a touchy subject, the brunette decided it may to best to leave it alone.

"you know the basics," daniel began as if he was reading jonah's mind. "divorced parents, stayed with mom, became a druggie and abusive and the one day just left."

jonah's heart internally dropped for the boy. he knew daniel's mother and father but he never knew much into his relationship with them. although daniel seemed awfully cranky that day so jonah decided to push the subject passed him and move on.

"are you okay? you seem cranky."

the blonde rolled his eyes in annoyance at the elder, side glaring him before answering. "i'm not cranky, i just don't feel well."

daniel looked the other way but was wide eyed when he felt jonah's muscular arms pull him close. apparently, he took that as an invitation to cuddle him.
