daniel walked down the halls unbothered with his other three friends. jack, zach, and corbyn. corbyn had recently transferrred to their school after moving back to his hometown; after moving away in middle school.

they stood at their lockers, having 25 minutes before the first bell rang. the three mostly just talked, jack saying something to zach that obviosuly made him flustered; and corbyn and daniel just talking about their plans for thanksgiving break.

though, daniel and corbyn's conversation was interuppted by the soft ring of daniel's phone signalling a notification. he excused himself from their conversation, mumbling a 'one second' and holding up his finger as he pulled his phone out of his back pocket.

he opened his phone, swiping and typing in his passcode, all to see he had a message from jonah. he calmly opened his messages, going to jonah's contact to read the texts.

daniel rolled his eyes at the device, not noticing that corbyn had gone to talk to jack and zach; though all three were silently and smoothly paying attention to daniel.

daniel's eyes looked up from his phone, searching the hall silently. his eyes finally met jonah's a little down the hall; by the front doors of the hallway.

daniel giggled down at his phone, meeting jonah's eyes once again as jonah gave him a flashy smile and a wink; walking away to the janitor's closet.

daniel had spent some time with jonah and had learned to joke around with him. daniel met a new jonah in just the time span of a couple weeks and the elder could always bring a smile to the younger's face.

his other friend's watched daniel and daniel's eyes meet jonah. jack was the only who really knew about what was happening between daniel and jonah.

though, daniel was sure jack told zach. corbyn though, probably didn't know since he had just moved back.

daniel's head turned to face his friends not noticing how they already watching daniel having he was caught up in his own conversation; them turning their heads as well to hid their watching.

"hey guys," daniel started, them humming back to him as they turned. "i'm gonna go to the.. library? yeah the library. i told a teacher i would reutrn some books for her." daniel lied with a nervous laugh.

his friends slightly nodding. "i'll see you in a few." daniel said pressing his lips togther.

"yeah. just hurry, we only have 20 minutes." corbyn commented.

daniel nodded his head, as he turned around to walk away.

"don't worry. he has enough time to hook up with jonah." jack shrugged calmly to corbyn, corbyn looking at him full of confusion.

daniel's face turned red, as he turned around embarrassed and in worry. "shut the fuck up, jack" daniel grumbled worrying he spoke too loudly to be full of a hallway of their classmates.

"wait, you and jonah are fucking?" corbyn questioned, daniel immedaitly moving his hand to his neck to make a 'stopping' movement.

daniel sighed as he stood half way down the hall with a blush on his face. "don't worry about it corbs." daniel spoke lihtly.

"i'll see you guys." daniel said quickly as he walked towards his original destination.

he quickly checked around his area to make sure no eyes were on him. he did so, notcing none before he slipped himself into the small closet, shutting the door behind him.
