Chapter 10: Truth

Hanji's POV

"Erwin..."

"No more lies, Hanji... tell me the truth... who's baby is that? You're the mother, so of course you have to know who's baby it is."

The pressure fell hard onto me when I saw Levi's face. I had to leave him... I had to... I then take a deep breath and sighed softly. My hands gently went up to my stomach, rubbing it gently. The little one inside of me... I had to take care of it... 

"Hanji!"

I gasp gently as Erwin raised his voice and whimpers quietly. "Levi... he's the father..." I quietly whisper under my breath. My eyes then looked up to him, smiling gently as the truth went out. "Levi..."

Erwin then snapped, pushing Levi into the wall. "You?"

"Erwin! Put him down!" I shouted, trying to pry him off of Levi- but of course, my arms were weak and I didn't want him to harm the baby in me. When I was pregnant with Eren, I remember everything that could harm the baby when it grew in my womb. One thing could hurt the baby in any way. "Erwin!"

"Not now, Hanji." He growls to me and continues to push Levi against the wall. "I suspected you a bit when Hanji started to act weird when you showed up to my office. How she was distant... how she was demanding for another baby out of the blue. And when you tell everyone about how you dated her before I proposed to her- I thought it all fit together. You took her away from me..."

Out of nowhere, Levi chuckled gently. "Technically... you're the one that took her away from me..."

"I did nothing wrong." Erwin growls, pushing Levi harder against the wall. "You took her away from me!"

"Lay your hands off of me. Get away."

Erwin growls heavily, "Levi... get away from my Hanji."

"She's mine, and you can't do anything. I'm the father of the baby that she has inside of her... you have no control over me... that I can say. And right now, you're invading in my apartment. Leave now."

I swear, I just stood on the side, watching those two fight as my hands gracefully rubbed my stomach. Erwin grunts in defeat and walks away- I even had the guts to shout after him: "You will not have custody of Eren! He's my son!"

"Mommy!" My hands wrapped around Eren, and I slowly cry tears of joy. "Mommy, Levi came and picked me up from daycare today..."

"I know- I know he did." I cried gently, smiling up towards Levi. "Did you get everything you needed and wanted from the house?"

"Uh-huh! Are we gonna stay with Levi?"

I chuckled softly, carefully picking him up from the floor. "Yes, yes we are. Did you know that Levi loved Mommy?"

"No... no I didn't..." Eren giggles softly and looks out to him.

"And that you're gonna have a baby sibling?"

"What?!" He gasps looking down at my stomach. "I-Is it a boy?! Is it a girl?!"

"Sweetie, I don't know... but... I think it's your nap time." I chuckle softly, laying him down on the couch. It was the only place where Levi would allow us to sit when we didn't shower. I sat next to him as his head was on my lap. Levi was busy making some cookies for me. "Come on, nap time."

Eren nods, slowly dozing off. His small hands was touching my stomach, and a small grin appeared on his face. "I think it's a boy."

"You do?"

"Mm hm..."

"Maybe you can help Levi and I with names..."

"I wanna... h-help..." He yawns gently and falls asleep. My hands ran through Eren's hair, and I smiled gently. He was so innocent...

"Hanji?" I looked up to Levi, seeing him after he put the unbaked cookies into the oven. He looks at me and Eren with a feeling of worry. "How are we gonna tell him about... about Erwin?"

Just the name of Erwin dropped the mood everywhere. The soothing sounds of Eren being quiet and silent on my lap... "He's too innocent for now. I'll... I'll let it slide by for now. We'll talk about it soon, I promise."

"Hanji..."

"What?"

Levi slowly walks towards me, kissing me on the forehead. His warmth embraced me. "Innocence doesn't last forever, you know. We were all innocent once... Eren's gonna grow up. He needs to know soon. How about I'll tell him? You need to worry about your stuff that Erwin has in the house."

"Don't tell him tonight-"

"I won't."

"Then when?"

Levi just chuckles softly, kissing me on the lips. I wanted him so... so badly... I nearly moaned in front of my son. Levi even caught onto it, just smirking at me. "Oh Hanji... soon... get into bed and I'm sure that Eren wouldn't know yet. Besides, I'm sure that an idiot walked in and stopped us from having a bit of fun."

"I would love that, but Eren..."

"He's safe here... don't worry." Levi's words of calmness took over me. Gently, I lowered Eren's head from my lap and onto the soft cushions. "We'll be quick." After that, he dragged me away to the bedroom for some silent fun.
