Sage's PoV

Walking into the assault squads home, my bag slung over my shoulder. After our fight earlier I had decided I'd come home late tonight to save an argument between Levi and I. Walking into his room I drop my bag in the corner gently, my jaw clenched as I stare at the sleeping marksman, his arms wrapped around the covers like he would hug me. Pulling my shirt off and kicking my shoes off I walk over to the bed, climbing next to him he wakes up and looks over to me "Your home late." He murmurs, nodding I look down "I know." I mumble, subconsciously wrapping my arms around his waist he lies his head back down on the pillow and no other words between us were spoken.

Standing in the shower I look down at the cuts and bruises decorating my body from training, scars from previous battles and of course the Brand I was given due to my nature. Sighing I clench my fists "Stop getting worked up over nothing Sage. it's nothing. He hasn't directly spoken to you. It's fine." I say to myself, my jaw tightening as I slam my fist into the wall shattering the tiles "Dammit" I grumble, my eyes flaring up bright blue "Stop. Getting. Obsessed." I growl to myself, anger swirling in my stomach I step back from the  bathroom wall, tilting my head back into the scalding hot water, my hair is pushed back with the force of the water.

Stepping out of the bathroom, clad only in a towel whilst a small towel is wrapped around my neck "you got a mission today?" I ask Levi who's sat at his desk doing some paperwork "Not today. Balthazar's injured his arm." He responds without looking at me, the tension between us both strong "You wanna go for lunch?" I ask, watching him look at me now I tilt my head "I have a lot of paperwork to do..." he responds, scowling I look down "You mean you don't want to sit and eat with me because your mad at me. For suggesting a safer option for you." I retaliate, his brows furrowing as he stares at me "it was a suggestion Levi." I finish, hearing him sigh he shakes his head and turns back to his paperwork.

Standing at the training grounds gallery I watch as Bonita fights with Karma, the Divine dragon constantly striking the swordsman who's blocking to the best of his ability, I watch her kick his chest sending him flat onto his ass "A one in a million beating the crap out of a battalion leader. How rich." I shout, their eyes moving up to me I jump down "And how rich of you to be stood there watching." She returns, smiling slightly I shrug "When's your class In. I don't mind taking Karma's space today." I say after glancing to a panting and beaten up Blonde "A few minutes and okay. Nothing like watching two matches dragons battle it out." She smirks, humming I tilt my head back.

Flattening my hand against the creases in my skintight black shirt, my jaw clenched shut as Bonita's class of rookie beat-soldiers pile into the training grounds "So what are you taking your frustrations out about?" She asks, inhaling I stare at the soldiers who are glancing to me "Me and Levi are fighting because I suggested he moved to another planet until this Francis situation blew over." I say, scratching the back of my neck as I stare at the soldiers "I asked him to lunch and he declined because he's mad at me. So I thought I'd give you a hand in training since Karma is constantly complaining about how violent you are with him." I explain, watching her nod she gestures for me to follow her.

Standing beside her she folds her arms over her chest "Alright newbies, This is General Sage Kageyama. Some of you may know him as the Azure Swordsman. Some of you may know him as the dragon that killed Juanita Roller." She says, clenching my jaw I cock an eyebrow slightly "He'll be my partner today." She murmurs, stepping back as she moves to the side "Step back. This is something you probably won't see for a long time. Two One in a millions fighting with each other" She says to the soldiers who are all moving back.

Watching a blinding white light surround her, she lifts her hands, her claws and fangs on show, the scales underneath her eyes prominent whilst her wings spread out behind her "Show off." I murmur, watching as she gestures to me "Maybe if you went all out you'd be a show off too." She returns, laughing I shake my head as golden flames surround me "Eighty percent. How kind of you to grace us with your presence." She beams, scales appearing under my eyes whilst my wings spread out, my claws and fangs gleaming "Even at eighty percent you can use your dragon quirks." She hums, dashing towards her I send my foot into her side, watching as she blocks with her arms I jump backwards "Light always beats dark Sage." She smiles, tilting my chin upwards I look at my golden flames "Golden flames aren't dark, Bon." I hum, watching her growl.

Raising my arms as she goes to hit me I block her attack, the blinding light peeking through the gaps of my forearms pressed together weakening me "Do you take pleasure out of beating your friends to a pulp." I ask, watching her stare at me I tilt my chin upwards slightly "Don't take offence Bonita. Everyone takes out their frustrations in different ways." I continue, jumping back when she looks to the side, I glance out the corner of my eyes at Levi who's stood at the railing watching silently, Amanda and Natalia stood next to him "Don't  take offence Sage. Everyone takes out their frustrations in different ways" She repeats my words as I stare at Levi.

"So what, I don't go to lunch with you because I can't be bothered dealing with your obsession over having to protect me and you go and fight with Bonita because your angry? You go and put yourself at risk? She's a one in a million too Sage! Your not the only one!" He shouts as he paces back and fourth in the gallery above the training grounds, I sit silently at the back of the gallery's chairs, my arms folded over my chest as I stare at the ground "No words? Non at all? Your not going to lecture me about the fact you are a demon and have an uncontrollable amount of wrath pent up inside of you!?" He continues, looking up at him with wide eyes, My jaw hung low at the flaw he had just openly judged, I watch as he visibly swallows a lump in his throat, His face stern and still containing rage. Standing I dust myself off, he scowls as I walk towards the exit, my fists clenched beside me.

Standing on a hill I stare at the front-line's headquarters, my jaw clenched and my eyes cold, my breath creating a small cloud of hot air in the winter weather. Going to turn around I come to a violent halt as something pierces through my abdomen, blood spilling from my mouth as I stare at a blonde male, his glasses reflecting the setting sun of Jistilen "Hello Sage Kageyama. I'm Francis nice to meet you." He smiles.
