Sage's PoV

Going to jump up to the pull-up bar I fall straight back down, my knees weakening I fall flat on my face, a strained grunt escaping me "You shouldn't push yourself Idiot!" Looking to the side at Lilith who's just ran in, dropping the box of chocolate and flowers "I need to get better." I grumble, pushing myself up so I'm sat against the wall I lean back, grabbing the bottle of water I exhale uneasily "You need to calm yourself Sage. I get that your an impatient and stubborn man but you can't rush yourself" She says gently as she grabs my hand and pulls me up on to my feet "why are you here?" I mumble, watching her avoid my gaze she steps back.

Sitting on the couch beside my hospital bed I stare at Lilith who's staring at the ground rather than meeting my eye contact "Answer me Lilith." I say sternly, watching as she sighs she slumps Into the chair opposite me "Levi asked me to come and check on you since you won't let him or anyone else in." She says finally, clenching my fists I look down at my feet "Stop pushing everyone away Sage. You'll regret it." She growls, standing I clench my jaw "You don't know anything!" I shout, my fangs subconsciously growing due to the rage in my chest "I haven't seen any of you for years, You have no idea how much pain I've been in." I growl back at her.

Going to shout more I stop as the doctor walks in with my chart "Looks like you can be discharged today, General Kageyama." He smiles as he looks up at me, swallowing a lump in my throat I grab my stuff, looking down as the doctor exits obviously sensing the tension between me and Lilith "I'm going home. Don't bother trying to convince me to forgive them all. You know how my wrath gets Lily." I grumble before turning and exiting.

Throwing my bag into the corner of my apartment I stretch, wincing slightly at the wound on my abdomen I fall onto my back uneasily, a strained growl escaping my mouth. Lifting my T-shirt I stare at the still pink scar, exhaling I let my head fall back onto the mattress "Go and get yourself stabbed by a vengeful psycho. You did good Kageyama." I grumble to myself.

Standing I walk over to the kitchen slowly, my hand unconsciously going to my scar I look down at the rotten food in my fridge. Due to me previously staying in Levi's place for a reasonable amount of time I hadn't been back to my apartment. Sighing I step back and stretch "Time to go out for food." I murmur, leaning down to grab my jacket I stand upright and yawn.

Three months later (authors PoV)

A few months went by of Sage healing and recovering from Francis's attack. Sage hadn't forgave any of them but went back to work and worked silently, avoiding all of them to the best of his ability.

He knew he was being pathetic with not forgiving them but having his closest friends, his allies, his boyfriend ignore his warnings jeopardised his happiness. The sword that pierced a hole not only in his stomach but in his life.

Placing my hand on my abdomen subconsciously as I finish off some paperwork my second lieutenant put on my desk earlier "Just going for a walk. Take a break." I mumble to the soldiers in my office, they all turn to each other and begin having conversations.

Laying on the grass out the back of the headquarters, my hands rested on my stomach whilst my eyes remain closed "Sir..." Looking up now at a sergeant in my court "what is it, Sergeant Halen." I mumble, hearing him move so he's stood in front of me "You've been requested to the governors office." He says uneasily, sitting up with a groan I scratch the side of my head "I'm always being requested to the governors office." I grumble, standing properly I stretch, my back clicking before I lean forward in pain at the scar on my abdomen.

Opening the door lazily I stare at everyone who's stood at random places in the office, I wave my hand aimlessly as I enter "Let's get this over and done with I've shit to do." I mumble, Justin looking at me with furrowed brows "I saw you sleeping under the tree out back of the building." He says, nodding I scowl "yeah, shit to do." I retaliate, my hand moving to my stomach "Francis was spotted a few planets over from this one." Gina says, her arms folded over her chest as she leans on Natalia's desk "And?" I ask, my voice stern despite the pain where my scar is "Your not worried?" Bonita asks, shrugging I push myself off of the desk "if he wants to come at me. Let him. I won't let him off so easily this time though." I grumble as I turn to open the door.

As the group tried to stop Sage from leaving and being so brash, Sage's escorts, Jean Edwards and Alita Santiago stood outside the room, their arms folded over their chests "General Kageyama is always getting called to the Governors office with the special forces Troupe. What do you think they are talking about?" Jean asks the short haired female beside him who looks over with a smile "Probably some dope mission. Because we're generals escorts maybe we'll get to tag along." She replies with a brighter smile now, Jean returning, they both tense as the door opens and Sage strides out "If he wants to fight he can come and find me himself. I'll kill him with my bare hands." Sage says as he walks past the two escorts, gesturing for them to follow as Gina and some of the squad exit to watch him walk away.

Sage's PoV

Standing in the headquarters gym, I tuck my feet into the sit-up bars, my shirt discarded on the ground as I begin repetitively sitting up and down, my back striking the seat I'm laying on as I do so. Ignoring the pain in my abdomen I can feel the assault squad and Bonita and Karma's eyes on me, Gina obviously ordering them to follow me. Laying flat out with my feet still tucked into the bars I stare at the ceiling, my stomach hurting as if I had been stabbed again, my chest rising and falling due to the intense sit-ups I had just done despite my recovery not finished "You shouldn't push yourself, General." Jean says as he walks towards me I sigh.

Pulling myself up on pull-up bars I wince at the aching of my abdomen "He's right you know." Looking down at Balthazar and Amanda, I drop down off of the bars "What." I return, their eyebrows furrowing "You shouldn't push yourself." Amanda retaliates, humming I gesture to myself "I'm in perfect shape, perfect condition. Nothing is wrong with m-" I begin, blood spilling from my mouth as I go to step back, Jean practically sprints towards me as the others of the squad do the same, even Levi who scowls heavily.
