Sage's PoV
Stepping backwards I stretch, the scar that's healed over perfectly on my abdomen visible as I reach for my uniform "General Kageyama? You have a ton of paperwork to sign." Hearing Jean from behind my apartment door I scowl "I know, Edwards. Now let me get dressed in peace." I retaliate as I pull my shirt on I hear him make a noise of acknowledgement. Pressing the creases out of my shirt I yawn "Right let's go waste our time signing this shit." I murmur before walking out of the building, Jean following like a lost puppy.
Leaning back in my desk chair I sign the papers silently, the soldiers in my office doing their own work calmly. My eyes move up as the door opens and Gina walks in, The soldiers standing and saluting immediately "at ease men." She retaliates as she walks towards me I scowl "You haven't been cleared for anything practical Sage." She says bluntly, her eyes stern and stone cold,I scowl "he told on me." I murmur, her own eyebrows furrowing heavily "He told me because he was worried." She tries to cover up, shaking my head I laugh "He told you because I was a dick to him last night." I return, her eyebrows raising "I don't regret what I said though. We aren't together anymore, it's not his job to keep an eye on me." I continue "he's worried for a friend." She says, laughing I lean forward, my head rested in the palm of my metal hand "Are you seriously that dense. Who said I forgave you? At this point in time. I have no friends." I say as I stand, She scowls, the soldiers around me staring in shock "Fine. If your not willing to co-operate. Sage Kageyama, your fired." She says sternly, staring at her through half-lidded eyes I hum before ripping my general badge off of my jacket "Fine." I hum.
"Where are you going?" Looking to the side at Isaac, my bag slung over my shoulder "I'm not needed here anymore." I return bluntly before turning back to face the approaching spaceship "I need you." He retaliates angrily, shaking my head with a light laugh I look down "It was a one night thing Isaac." I say emotionlessly, his brows furrowing "It wasn't for me." He murmurs, shrugging I stretch as I walk towards the ship "Thanks for the help, Dr. Dayes." I mumble.

It shocked everyone who knew Sage to the core when they were told he was fired, when they was told he left the planet to go live on a neutral one. Everything was tense, and no one liked it.
"He's left the planet." Hugo murmured, Bonita and Karma was a flick away from breaking someone's neck so Hugo's constant mumbling wasn't helping "He... left the planet?" Hugo repeats, Gina nodding repetitively "So I've heard." She responds, the sound of someone entering the lounge catching everyone's attention "Oh... I'm sorry I didn't realise-" Isaac begins before being cut off by Balthazar who raises his hand and shakes his head "It's fine." He says, the doctor walking in uneasily "Wait, so you don't actually know if he's gone or not?" Amanda asks, Gina going to speak, she stops and looks down slightly, Levi sitting silently in the corner of the room "No.. he's gone." Isaac says subconsciously, attracting everyone's attention "What?" Karma asks "He got on a ship last night and left. Said he wasn't needed here anymore." Isaac explains now, his brows furrowed as he anxiously turns to the group "He's actually gone..." Bonita whispers.
A few months later
Cheers echoed from the poorly built arena owned by the big man himself, Sage Kageyama. Since moving to a neutral planet, Sage turned to teaching people how to fight and such. He couldn't just sit around and he wasn't going back to the frontlines anytime soon so.
It was a nice autumn day, which was rare considering the summer air was vanishing and the winter one was making its comeback. sage had a lesson with a group of kids, teaching them how to survive out in this violent and aggressive world.
Obviously he had no idea the assault squad and Gina were on route to the planet he's resided on.
"How can I never beat you!" The tantrum of young boy, Jack Atlas was echoing through the arena causing a majority of the townsfolk watching to chuckle to themselves. Jack Atlas, a sweet but temperamental boy, born and raised in the orphanage of the town Sage was living in. He met Sage when he attempted to steal food for himself and got caught, It was sage who helped him to his feet when he was beaten and thrown around. Ever since then the two have been inseparable and it was quite clear Jack looked up to Sage like a child would a father. Everyone could see it and Sage knew himself he was a big impact on the boys life.
"Jack, your fourteen years old. I'm over four thousand. You won't be able to beat me. Not to mention the fact I used to be a general in the frontlines." Sage says as he crouches down beside the youngen who is death glaring the ground "Look, Jack, I'm not the type of teacher who throws a fight to make my students feel like they are getting stronger. If you don't notice your weaknesses you'll never get stronger. So come on, put your fists up and let's dance again and again until you gain a bit more confidence." He smiles, a familiar group sat up top of the arena watching as the man they once knew trains a young man to be a fighter.
The view of Sage training with a child was truly a strange one, Sure he wasn't using a single bit of his natural ability but he wasn't holding back either. His combat skills were on fire but the kid held up against him. Eventually they both stopped and Jack fell to the floor, panting heavily as he let his bruised and beaten hands drop to the sandy ground "You... win..." he whispers, A sincere smile spreading across Sage's face as he picks Jack up "You did exceptional for someone you age." He chuckles.

Helping Jack to his feet I brush the sand off of him "I'll beat you someday. And I'll make you proud." He says with a straight face "I'll hold you to that." I chuckle, going to look up when a group approaches us I freeze at the sight of the assault squad and Gina "You look well." Gina says, gripping Jacks shoulder, he looks between us "What do you want?" I ask sternly, my smile and relaxed expression vanished "We need to talk." She responds just as sternly as I had "I won't talk to someone who fired me because I trained." I growl, all of their eyes moving over to Levi who's stood in the back, his hand gripping his elbow anxiously.
Sitting with my arms folded over my chest, I basically death glare Levi who's shuffling in his seat uncomfortably "Francis made an appearance and wiped out half of squad Eagle." He says finally, shrugging I raise my hands "Not my problem, Gina made that abundantly clear." I retaliate quicker than a gunshot, my jaw clenched now "You was fired for disregarding strict no practical. You wasn't cleared and you knew it!" He shouts, standing now I glare at him angrily "I am a one in a million Levi! I'm a goddamn demon dragon and after months of recovering you expect me to sit on my ass and do paperwork! I was impaled - it happens! And yeah if it happened to some random soldier they'd have a miracle to be alive but I'm not some random soldier, I'm a fucking dragon! A demon one! A legend! I only happen every million years and a simple impalement isn't going to kill me!" I shout, his eyes wide as he stares at me, I turn, raking my fingers through my hair as I do so.
Looking to the side as Jack walks in with a concerned look on his face "Are you okay, Sage?" He asks as he grips my jeans I crouch down so I'm eye-level with him "I'm okay Jack, just a few things came up" I smile warmly, a small smile spreading across his face "Go stay with Aunt Linda. I'll be home for dinner" I smile, watching him walk away I stand.
"You broke my trust. I told you Francis was an issue and you ignored me. And then I was impaled and fired for training. You expect me to forgive and come back?" I say as calmly as possible as I look back to Levi who's staring at me "I don't expect you to forgive us. We destroyed what little trust you had left. But I expect you to come back to Jistilen to protect your people." He says now, staring at him I look down, biting my thumb nail I clench my jaw "I'll come to protect Jistilen. On one condition." I say sternly, his eyebrow arching "Jack Atlas comes with me."
"Done."
