*lance's POV*

I was in class, still upset with myself with what happened between me and Keith this morning, when my phone went off and I checked it

9:35A.M- Space Princess- hey Lance, I had to walk Keith back to his dorm because he thought an alpha knew he was in heat and was gonna try to go after him. I told him to stay in his dorm for the rest of his heat week but we both know he is stubborn so I was wondering if every hour or two you could go over and check on him. I would do it myself but my schedule is way too busy.

9:36A.M- Pretty Boy- sure no problem. Though I don't know how happy he will be to see me since of what happened this morning but I will defiantly go over there and check on him.

I put my phone down but i couldn't stop thinking about Keith. I'm an alpha so I know that when an alpha knows an omega is in heat they wont stop at anything to get that omega. I'm not that way because I learned how to control my instincts from a young age but the same can't go for every alpha, some alphas cant control their instincts at all.

getting a key Keith's dorm shouldn't be a problem since i actually have class with his roommate Slav. So after the bell rang i went up to Slav "hey Slav i need the spare key to your dorm. Keith is in heat and there was some trouble with an alpha so Allura asked me to check in on him from time to time" I said "ok just let m-" he started to dig in his pocket but them stopped "wait what did you get from the cafe this morning" he said and i just looked at him "why does that matter?!" I said. Keith warned me he was weird.

"It matters because if you had a blueberry muffin than there is a point fifteen percent chance that this is the reality that I give you the spare key and you lose it and someone finds it but doesn't turn it in. while if you had a plain bagel with cream cheese then there is a point twelve chance that this is the reality where i give you the spare key and we both lose our keys and i can never get into my dorm again. And if you had a pumpkin latte then this is there is a a point four percent chance that this is the reality that you are actually a VCSO girl and you lose my spare key in a rain water drain while trying to take a selfie" he said and i just gave him the most blank expressions. is he for real?

"wha-i- i had a chai tea" i said still not understanding the situation fully "oh ok hey you go" Slav said and handed me his spare key "what- i -i i dont even...." i was at a loss for words "since you had a chai tea that means that there is a point one percent chance that this is the reality where nothing happens to either of the keys and everything is fine" he said casually.

after i took the key i went over to Keith's dorm and unlocked it "hey, Allura told me what happened this morning and she wanted me to check on you throughout the day to make sure you are fine" i said as i walked in and i was greeted with a grumble "i dont need anyone,especially you, to watch me like a baby." he said and sat as his desk, facing away from me and i sighed "are you still mad at me for this morning?" i said and closed the door.

"no, i'm not mad at you, all is forgiven and we can bury the fucking hatchet" he said and every word dripped with sarcasm "of course i'm still mad! you had no right to pull that! we're not bonded or dating so you don't need to act like i'm yours! that what all you alphas do! they see omegas that are not bonded as fair game and try to take claim over them without think about how the omega might feel!... you checked up on me and i'm fine so you can go now" he said and i was stunned. did i really make him feel like that? that i was trying to put claim over him?

"ok..... ill be back in a few hours to check up on you again..." i said and left

*Keith's POV*

i heard the door close and crumbled up the paper i was working on and threw it as hard as i could. fucking alphas never thinking about omegas! i paced my room for a bit but then decided i needed to get out to calm down. i know Alurra told me not to leave, but what will one ride into town to get hot cocoa hurt?
