Chapter 5

"What? No you can't." I said. How could she do this to me.

"I'm sorry. You get your new roommate next week."

Mrs. Fleather closed the door and walked down the hall.

I can't believe she gave up on Karen. I walked to Karen's room and started to pack.

A million of things were flying through my head.

Will Karen wake up?

Who's my new roommate?

I decide a nap would help settle my feelings.

****the next day***

I looked at the clock.

It was 5:34 a.m.

I got up and switched the lights on. I was used to sleeping in but I switched my classes so I had more morning classes. It gave me more time to see Karen. I jumped in the shower. I let the water hit my face and drip down my body.

I got dressed and left the dorm at 6:45 a.m.

"Sara." Mr.James said.

I must have dosed off because everyone was staring at me and I had a little drool on my paper.

"Yes." I answered.

"Am I really that boring Sara.?"

"No Mr.James...I've just been really tired lately."

"We'll then maybe you should drop my class and join a later period."

I didn't answer. He turned back tot he board and I wrote notes down.

***that afternoon****

BUZZZ

"Hey Josh." I said as I answered my phone.

"Hey babe. Meet me at the hospital." He said.

"Okay ill be there soon." I said as I slammed my phone shut.

The hospital was a couple blocks away so I decided I would walk.

I waited at the light for about 3 minutes.

"Sara....please let me talk to you." Eric said. I turned around and he was standing there.

"Did you follow me?" I was scared.

"Yes but we need tot all but not here. Follow me." He turned around and motioned for me to follow.
