*5 years later*
The Nicholus Beach was just how I remembered it. The same greenish tint to the water, palm trees, and memories. I remember the day sitting with Jakob in the sand by the rocks. That was forever ago, and he probably wouldn't even remember me now.
I walked over to the Cooler Bar, which was a small hut where they sold drinks and some foods.
"Strawberry smoothie," I ordered the tall handsome waiter. He wrote on a notepad and walked towards the other side of the hut, sending a small wink my way.
What was that for? Was he winking at me? All the thoughts roamed through my mind when a tall glass slid and thumped against my arm.
"Thanks," I chirped.
"Look, do I know you?" he asked.
It can't be! I blinked my eyes a few times and studied the handsome man.
"Jakob?" I whispered.
He gasped, looking just as surprised as I was. Now, I could tell he was looking over my body and face trying to make sure he really had it right.
"Lindsey?" he asked.
My heart sank and my face turned bright red. For a minute, we both just stood saying nothing. Then, he ran out around the counter pulling me close and lifting me into the air. I tucked my head into his neck giggling.
Once he set me down, he went back around the counter and started writing something. He handed me a small note that said 'meet back here at 8:30 sharp.'
I smiled as I read the note, slid it in my back pocket, winked, and started walking away from the hut.
I charged through the front foor of the new apartment and hustled to my room. I dug through every single box looking for the best outfit. I pulled out the shortest jean shorts I had and a sparkly tank top from pink. I did all my makeup and ran a hand through my long curly blond hair. When I had accoplished all of the things I needed to do for tonight, I landed on my bed with a thud.
I glanced at my watch, and realized it was already 7:00. Maybe I will go early? I mean, he will probably be there right now anyways. I sat up, grabbed my red hollister bikini, and ran out the bedroom door. The beach was only a mile from my house, So it was a pretty easy walk there and back.
Sure enough, when I got to the beach Jakob was already there.
"Hi!" I chirped.
His head snapped up and he reached his hand over his heart.
"Holy crap Lindse you scared me!" he exclaimed.
I laughed and sat down in the sand beside him. For minutes and minutes we both just sat there staring at each other. Then it came to my mind, 'Look I should tell you something,'
"Remember 5 years ago when we sat over on that side of the beach by the ledges?"
He nodded.
"Well, can you also remmber you had said you wanted to tell me something, but then my mom had cut you off?" I asked.
He paused for a second and then looked up, with his eyes turning wide.
"I remember everything." he whispered.
"So, tell me what you had to tell me!" I giggled.
"Well, I know this is probably going to sound a little stupid but when we were at that age I looked at you like nobody ever will in your whole life. I was positive you were the most stunning girl in the state of Florida. Don't be mad, or think I'm weird, but I was going to tell you that I love you. I really really loved you," he sighed.
My eyes widened and then my face turned to the color of a lobster.
"I know you probably dont want to talk to me anymore and your probably hate me and that's all my fault and I should hve never told you it just would have been easier if I never said it at-
I cut him off, leaning in so my lips were just brushing his.
"I don't care, I love you," I whispered.
Then he slid his hands up to the back of my neck and he kissed me. This wasn't one of those ordinary kisses. It was a long passionate kiss. It was the kind of kiss that sends shocks down your spine. I lifted my hands for one to rest on his chest and one to wrap around his warm neck. He scooped me up into his arms and I could tell we were walking somewhere, but I couldn't tell where because I didn't want to stop kissing. I felt water brushing against my toes and I giggled. He trailed his hand down my back and left one on my waist while another trailed to my thigh.
I was kissing the man who i had forever said I'd be best friends with.
After our long make-out session, we both went back to the food in the sand and lit a fire.
"You didn't let me finish earlier," he mummbed.
He had now caught my attention so I looked up from the hot fire to look at his green eyes.
"I have a girlfriend, Kierra," he mumbled.
Now, my mood had gone from happy, to confused, and finally, to extremely mad at him. I think he got the hint I was really mad, because now he refused to face my way. I didn't say a word. All I did was stand up and walk away.
"Come on Lindsey you have to hear me out!"
I didn't look back, but I stopped in my tracks.
"I don't want to hear it! And I sure as hell don't want to be with a cheater for any sort of reason Jakob."
Now he had nothing to say, but just then I could tell he was coming towards me. He spun me around to face in and he kissed me. Why was I kissing him back?
He ended the kiss and had a pouty-face on. I giggled for a second, but then I remembered that this man has a girlfriend probably waiting for him to call right now. I let go of his neck, turned around, and I walked away. And he let me go.
