The next month flew by too fast for Taehyung to sit and think about how much things had changed from half a year ago. The past five weeks had been warm and full of shy smiles and the promise of a hopeful future.

He remembered how Hyungsik used to call his love for art a phase and a useless hobby to have. But Jungkook always encouraged him to do the things he loved and bought him all the items he needed to make a pretty picture.

He would sit for hours beside the omega and watch him paint or draw, showering him with praises and insistent questions about how he could draw so well. Taehyung loved the awed expression on the younger's face.

He would also help Jungkook while he made assignments and the younger was always grateful for it. Whenever he had to make an assignment he deemed difficult, the two would sit side by side in bed with Taehyung's head on the alpha's shoulder as he watched him type and give him his own suggestions. Time didn't seem too slow in those moments.

Currently, Taehyung was sitting on the couch trying his hand on drawing Jungkook. He had never drawn a human before but he thought this was the best place to start as Jungkook sat at the counter eating strawberries and refusing to sit still. Taehyung had given up on asking him either because the younger was too fidgety.

"Is it done?" Jungkook asked, his cheeks full as he chewed.

"Just a minute." Taehyung said, too focused on getting the shading right to notice when Jungkook came to sit beside him, trying to take a peek at the finished product.

"Wait." Jungkook said, frowning down at the picture making Taehyung look up suddenly. He turned his gaze to his drawing and wondered what prompted such a reaction from the other. "What's wrong with my teeth?" Jungkook asked, feigning offence.

Taehyung giggled, covering the lower half of his face with the sketch pad and turned the drawing towards Jungkook.

"What? I captured your bunny teeth perfectly!" He said, making Jungkook scoff.

Taehyung thought he had done a pretty good job actually and he knew the alpha thought the same.

"I don't have bunny teeth anymore! They disappeared when I was like nine!" Jungkook argued as Taehyung looked at him pointedly. "Okay fine, I lost them when I was sixteen." He huffed.

Taehyung turned back to his drawing and ran a hand over it.

"I think you still have them." Taehyung said, sticking out his tongue at the other.

"No, I don't!" Jungkook exclaimed, his eyes wide.

"Why are you getting so frustrated? I think they're cute." Taehyung assured him but Jungkook was having none of it making the older smile.

"I don't have bunny teeth." He mumbled, sitting back against the couch and crossing his arms.

Taehyung cooed, leaning forward to tickle him under his chin but he turned his head away.

"I'll erase them. Happy? I'll give you fangs instead like the bad alpha you are." Taehyung laughed, trying to make the younger look at him.

He finally did when Taehyung said this and the look on his face made the omega giggle more. He didn't know Jungkook was so sensitive about his teeth. But now that he knew he was, he wouldn't tease him anymore about it.

A smile broke out on Jungkook's face then when Taehyung erased the teeth and drew fangs which looked way more cool. He turned the drawing towards the alpha, beaming.

"How does it look now?" He asked.

Jungkook's gaze ran over the work with a satisfied hum before his eyes turned soft and he leaned forward, lightly placing his lips on the omega's.

Taehyung froze in surprise at the softness against his mouth but before he could think further about it, Jungkook pulled back but not too far. Their faces were still close, their breaths mingling as they looked at each other before leaning in.

Taehyung was cleaning up after Jungkook had left for his classes and like always, the younger forgot at least one of the notes he needed that day.

"Always forgets something." Taehyung mumbled, wondering if he should call Jungkook to ask about them but it wasn't like he could come home to get them so he just put them aside.

He looked around making sure everything was clean and in order before washing his hands and touching the locket around his neck. Jungkook had gifted it to him two days before and it was the most simple yet beautiful thing he had seen.

Jungkook had smiled as he put the necklace around his neck, waiting to see Taehyung's blinding smile when he turned around. The omega had gasped and the way his eyes had lit up had made Jungkook unable to resist so he had placed a sweet kiss on his lips making Taehyung blush.

Taehyung smiled at the memory and his cheeks turned red but he quickly left the cabin to join his friends in the sun. He couldn't wait to show them the gift he got for him.

Their reaction was exactly what he had been hoping for. They had loved it and made him take it off to admire it, all the while Taehyung smiled proudly.

"He has such a good choice. He even got me so many painting supplies and I hadn't even mentioned wanting them." Taehyung told them, warmth blooming in his chest at the other's thoughtfulness.

"Maybe Jungkook really isn't so much of a pup anymore." Minhyuk said as he smiled at Taehyung. The omega nodded, happy seeing everyone acknowledging it. Jungkook hated when anyone called him a pup.

"He isn't. He's all grown up now." Taehyung replied.

"Hmm. It seems like you finally noticed it too." Jungwoo said in a teasing tone as his friends started to laugh around him.

He whined at them to stop but it was of no use. He realized he didn't mind it too much anyway.

Jungkook was with Kihyun having drinks that night after a long day at university and then his part time job. He couldn't wait to get his degree so he could start doing what he loved and move to Seoul with Taehyung. That time was far though, he was still only a freshman. He sighed.

"Why are you sighing? What are you thinking about?" Kihyun asked.

"Nothing much. Just the future." Jungkook answered, tipping his head back to finish his glass.

"Talking about the future, Sunwoo isn't courting Yugyeom anymore. Said they didn't really click." Kihyun told him.

Jungkook looked at him for a while before nodding, not sure how he was supposed to feel about the news. He looked at his now filled glass and traced the rim, watching as the ice slowly melted.

If he had gotten this news a few months ago, Jungkook was sure he would have whooped with joy but now he realized that he didn't really care about who Yugyeom was seeing or who was courting him. He smiled at the realization.

"I hope he'll find someone perfect for him soon." Jungkook said firmly, as Kihyun chuckled in surprise.

"I guess it's not as complicated with Taehyung hyung as it used to be, is it?" Kihyun asked, with a smirk on his face.

Jungkook licked his lips as he took out money to pay for their drinks and stood up before answering.

"No. It's not complicated at all."

He went home.
