Chapter 3

It was a few weeks later that Jungkook found himself standing in front of the pack leader's house and fuming with anger. His hands were clenched tightly into fists, shaking to connect with Hyungsik's face. But the soft pressure of a hand on his arm held him back.

He hadn't imagined he could ever feel the need to murder someone so badly in his life but he was proven wrong again. His blood was boiling and Taehyung's faint cries weren't helping either. He wanted to shake him and yell, "Don't cry because of him!" But he didn't.

It was just over an hour ago that Hyungsik bought the omega he mated to the pack. He wasn't even shameful about it. Introducing him to his friends and his family, completely ignoring the surprised looks everyone was giving him until Taehyung showed up.

Taehyung hadn't said a word even though he had every right to shout at him but the older rarely ever rose his voice. He moved backward when Hyungsik started towards him with tears in his eyes and that seemed to snap Jungkook out of his daze. He had pushed Hyungsik back and grabbed him by the shirt, ready to break his face but Taehyung had stopped him with a cry.

Taehyung was wrapped up in his mother's embrace now, his face shining with tears as the pack waited for the pack leader to address this. Everyone knew Taehyung and Hyungsik had had a physical relationship and going ahead and mating another omega without even breaking the courtship was wrong and terrible.

Jungkook always knew that alpha shouldn't be trusted but he didn't know he would do this. He thought Hyungsik loved Taehyung in his own way.

"This is why I told you not to go meet him alone but you never listen!" Taehyung's mom cried, with other omegas humming in agreement. Jungkook wanted to throw something at them because all these people literally tell their omega sons and daughters to listen to each and every word of their alpha and now they're yelling at them for listening to them?

"He's already crying so much, just stop yelling at him." Jungkook said through gritted teeth.

The pack leader walked out then with Taehyung and Hyungsik's father behind him.

"I listened to both sides and all I have to say is that maybe we have given our children too much freedom. An umated alpha and omega meeting alone couldn't even be imagined when I was younger and today, it's happening openly. Alphas are alphas but the omegas too?"

Jungkook saw red. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He knew the pack leader was a scum too but did he even hear what he was saying? Was he putting the blame on Taehyung?

"They didn't use to be so shameless back then. Obviously, what alpha would like an omega like that? But Taehyung is like my own son too and I agree that Hyungsik, you made a mistake." He looked at Hyungik then who nodded without a hint of shame. Everyone was nodding and whispering as they agreed to the words of the man and Jungkook felt hot with fury.

"I thought about it and I think it's very obvious no other alpha in our pack will be willing to mate with Taehyung. He's 24, how much longer will he stay unmated? So if no one steps forward to take responsibility for him, Taehyung can either remain alone but I can never guarantee his safety or he can choose to live with Hyungsik without being mated."

Taehyung's mother started to cry again at that because the thought of Taehyung being unmated forever was too much, even for Jungkook. Living with Hyungsik without a bond? Why can't the leader just say he'd be a side whore?

Jungkook looked at Hyungsik then and when he saw him smirking slightly, he felt like he couldn't see anything around him.

"You asshole!" Jungkook screamed before launching himself at the older alpha and swinging his fist into his face. Blood spurted out of his nose but before he could hit back, Jungkook landed another punch to his eye. He felt hands grabbing him but he felt as if there was a wall between him and the people around him. All he could see was Hyungsik and the fact that there wasn't enough blood on him.
