I furrowed my eyebrows as I sat at the table, looking down at the menu in my hands.

"Is it possible to crave everything and nothing all at once?" I asked. "I have no clue what I want to eat."

"You can never go wrong with a sandwich," Adrianna said. "Especially a good BLT."

"Alright, that's what I'm going to get, then," I said. "What about you?"

"I think I'm really craving some soup," she said. "I'm going to get the cheesy potato soup. You can have a few bites of it if you want."

I smiled, happy that she knew ahead of time that I would want a bite or two. We ordered the food and I smiled happily as we sat talking together. We've been home for a little while now and I was scared of leaving but it's been quiet from the bunny men, so Adriana finally convinced me to go out to grab some lunch.

"So, I think I found someone who might want to buy some of your art at my work," she said. "He got a new apartment and is into art but doesn't want to buy the stuff at the stores that are just mass produced."

"You really found someone?" I asked. "That's so nice. Maybe you could send him some pictures of my artwork and he could decide which ones that I want. I still need to decide on prices for them."

"I'll send him an email with some photos," she said.

I smiled, resting a hand on my stomach.

"Are you feeling any better?" Adrianna asked.

"Still paranoid but I guess I'm doing okay," I said. "Nothing's happening right now and hasn't happened for a little while. Whenever it gets quiet I just always get worried that maybe something happened to Eli. Maybe they decided to—"

"Don't even say it," Adrianna interrupted. "They aren't going to kill him and he is going to come back home. Officer Jackson is going to find him."

Food was set on the table along with some napkins. I ate a few fries before grabbing a napkin. I saw something written on it in black ink.

Go to the bar on the corner of the block. Take the stairs down to the basement. Tell no one or we hurt Eli.

I looked around, wanting to scream for not getting a good look at the person who set down the napkins. My hands began to sweat, stomach turning uneasily. Adrianna smiled at me from across the table.

"Can I have a French fry?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go to the bathroom," I muttered.

I went towards the bathrooms but ducked out of the restaurant when she wasn't looking. I went into the bar, which was completely empty besides the bartender. It was dim, music playing over the speaks.. Of course it would be in the middle of the afternoon.

"Can I use your restroom?" I asked.

"Go ahead," he said.

I went down a hall where the bathrooms were. There was a door labeled basement with an employees only sign but it was unlocked. My hands were shaking so I took a few deep breaths before slowly opening the creaky door. The wooden steps bent beneath my weight as I slowly stepped down into the dark, damp room. When I got to the bottom, I squinted and looked around in the dark. Suddenly, the lights turned on and I was surrounded by four bunny men.

I took a few steps back, trying my best to stay confident but I was fighting back tears. I also wish I actually had gone to the bathroom before this, I was so scared I just might pee my pants. They didn't do anything at first, they just stared at me. I'm not sure if it would be scarier for them to do something or not.
