Sunlight was dancing in through the curtains, lighting up my skin in a pattern from the leaves of the tree outside my window. I yawned, the blue curtains giving a slight tint to the room. This was one of the best sleeps I have gotten in a while, my doctor prescribed me something to help me sleep at night.

I could smell something cooking in the kitchen and my stomach growled. I haven't had someone make me breakfast ever since Eli has been gone. I got up, padding out to find Adrianna there. She smiled, setting a plate of pancakes down for me as I sat at the counter.

"I told you, I've been practicing," she said, taking out her earbuds. I could faintly hear music playing out of them. "And these are some pretty darn good eggs and pancakes, if I do say so myself."

"Thank you," I said. "What's all this for?"

"I just think that my best friend needs a nice day of relaxing," She said.

"How can I relax with the media up my ass about everything?" I asked.

Fans were definitely outraged when Eli's tour was cancelled. But when he fell off the grid completely, they began to get worried. Eli used to be pretty active on social media, keeping his fans in the loop on some things that were going on in his life. They've been coming to me instead for information on Eli. And soon those comments from smaller fans moved to bigger blogs, which even lead to news sites that followed celebrities. Officer Jackson decided it was best to keep everything under wraps. The less the bunny men could find out, the better.

Just give it time, it'll die down eventually," she said. "They're going to forget about it as soon as the next celebrity gets involved in some cheating scandal."

I nodded and Adrianna grabbed her own plate before sitting down beside me.

"I was thinking that today we could go out and buy some maternity clothes for you," she suggested. "I know it's a little bit soon because you're not showing yet, but you will be and this really cute store has a sale going on right now for all of their maternity clothes."

"I don't know, Addy, that sounds really nice, but I don't think I should, I don't really have the money," I said. "I could just wear some of Eli's shirts."

"Don't be silly, you're not just going to wear those old shirts," she said. "I just got a bonus at work, you should take it to buy yourself the clothes that you're going to need. We won't get a whole lot, just some shirts and maybe some dresses."

My stomach was poking out a little bit but it wasn't noticeable unless you knew that I was pregnant.

"Are you feeling sick?" Adrianna asked.

"A little bit but it isn't as bad as it used to be," I said. "I'm a little bit nauseous but I don't think I'm going to throw up at all."

I went back to the bedroom and threw on a pair of leggings with one of Eli's shirts. It was comforting to wear his clothes, I felt close to him. We drove into town to this one baby shop that seemed to sell everything from cribs to breast pumps. We went to the corner with the clothes, looking through the racks.

            "I don't think I'll need any pants, I've got sweatpants," I said.

We picked out only a couple of shirts and dresses. None of them were too expensive, thankfully. We continued browsing through the store, looking at the furniture and all the tiny little baby clothes.
