'We left because of something.' He said gravely, visibly hurt by Blossom's words.
'Something is not enough. Give me a valid reason. Please.' She begged.
'Well, how do I say this... an exterior threat?'
*Flashback*
'But I don't want to leave my Bubbles...' A gentle voice said as he packed up the last of his belongings.
'And I don't want to leave Buttercup...' A more hoarse voiced protested to his older brother.
Brick looked at Townsville once more before the moved all the boxes inside to the outside of the house. They were on a mission, but they didn't want to bother the girls since they were busy with something else: It was the new school year and they were trying to adjust back into the school lifestyle after a whole summer.
The mission was to exterminate a monster from outer space that had been spotted by Boomer months before they had planned out the whole thing.
Bubbles was struggling to fit in since all the other girls at school had changed her style and was having problems with getting picked on, Buttercup was too busy with catching up on homework as she had many sports clubs after each week day, keeping her week very occupied and last but not least Blossom was having issues at home with her sisters and constantly having arguments and disagreements with them. The girls had urged the boys not to help them so it would seem like they were just normal children.
'I don't want to leave Blossom but we have to do this. We aren't leaving for long anyway.' Brick said to his two younger brothers.
'Hmm... I guess that's true. Boomer you got it all planned out right?' Butch asked his younger brother.
'Yes.' Boomer replied as he nodded his head, 'It will take about 20 minutes for us to reach the creature and I think it will be about 3 to 4 days for us to study the creature. We don't know what it is yet, so let's not bother with finding weaknesses at first sight...' Boomer added as he looked down at his laptop.
The boys had built a small rocket/ spaceship to reach the creature since Boomer said that flying would be way too tiring for all three of them.
(A/N: Crazy, am I right? This is a story, I'm just making up stuff as I go along)
'You mean 'you'' Butch laughed, 'It's not like me and Brick will be doing any studying. I'm just there to kick some monster butt!' He said as he mimicked the action of a power kick.
'Wow very cool.' Brick sarcastically said.
'Sure.' Butch said as he made a face.
Soon after a few days, the so called exterior threat had been defeated and the boys returned to earth, a few weeks late for school but having good excuses.
On their first day, they were a bit unfamiliar with the school but didn't have any lessons with the girls the whole day until they saw them at lunch.
Brick led the other two into the cafeteria:
'I think it's here?'
Butch rested an arm on Brick's shoulder, 'Take a look from your stupid map of the school. People are eating. Wow. You know? Connect the dots?' Butch joked as he mimicked what he said.
A finger suddenly poked through the two, 'Look! It's the girls.' Boomer exclaimed excitedly.
'You sound like a stalker.' Brick said to his younger brother, who looked down ashamed.
'You really do though...' Butch trailed off as he looked at Buttercup, who was talking to someone. A guy?
'Are they dating them?' Boomer's voice intruded Brick and Butch's thoughts.
'Don't say that. We were gonna tell them we like them today! Remember? Don't say stuff like that anyway, they might be friends.' Brick said in a stern voice as he rolled his eyes.
Blossom would never start dating some random guy without telling her best friend.
(A/N: *cough cough*)
'I mean... what if they are though...' said Butch, frowning a bit, as he stood eyeing the guy Buttercup was talking to.
'As if Buttercup would like some guy like that dude.' Boomer said, trying to cheer him up.
'Umm... thanks I guess...' Butch replied, thanking Boomer for his efforts.'I mean... how about we wait a bit later to tell them...' Brick suggested, 'then we'll see what's going on...'
'Yeah, good idea.' Boomer said, pulling Brick backwards.
The brothers left the cafeteria and went to their next lessons in advance, without any lunch at all.
(A/N: boys be like.)
-A few days later-
The boys were at home after school, complaining, of course.
'I'm definitely sure they're dating! They're inseparable!' Butch shouted loudly at his brothers.
'Bro, I think Pinky's dating too, shes always with the nerd. Opposites attract I guess.' Brick said as he walked into their room.'What? So she's dumb or something?' Boomer said as he sat up from his bed, pausing his cartoon.
Then sparked the idea of just moving away to avoid the girls. Then it wouldn't be awkward anymore, right?
