My dear little broccoli.💚💚💚

~Just remember that this is a cute story, with just a tiny bit of drama to keep it interesting. There is no big plot or anything, like in my other stories. Just something light to read, without thinking much, haha

Chapter 20: The Party (1,0K)

Jace's PoV

.

Jace spent every night of the week at Clary's, always grouching in the morning when he would have to leave for work. Especially since Clary never made it easy for him by always doing her best to make him stay a little longer. And now, it was Friday morning, and Clary was trying once again to make Jace call in sick.

"Come on, it's too hot to be in work clothes, anyway." She whined in his ears while she was filling him up, and Jace had to call once again all his self-control not to give in to her.

"It's August, it's supposed to be hot." Jace reasoned and Clary pecked on his neck, slowly undoing his tie as she sultrily said:

"What if I tell you that tomorrow is my birthday? Would that make you stay?"

"It would if it were true. Plus, I have plans tomorrow." Jace replied, remembering that there was this party Jonathan told him about.

"So, goodbye that awesome weekend sex I was planning?" Clary pouted as she stepped back, and Jace used the opportunity to straighten his tie. Then he leaned in and kissed Clary on her cheek as he said:

"I guess we'll have to postpone it."

"Okay." Clary heaved, but then she wickedly smiled and looked for something in the back pocket of her shorts. "Let me just give you what I was planning to wear."

As she said so, she put a red lipstick in Jace's hand, a lustful and wicked smile on her lips. She waited for Jace to understand that she hadn't been planning on wearing anything else besides the lipstick, and then she whispered in his ear: "Suffer."

Jace looked at the mansion and frowned before he pulled the card out of his pocket. He checked the address once again, and when it became obvious that he was at the right place, he called the number on the card.

"Jon, the Marvellous speaking." Said a very playful voice, and Jace heard a lot of noise behind him as people were laughing with him.

"Hi, this is Jace. Are you sure about the address?"

"Yeah, I know, we're living in a castle." Jonathan said with a disabused voice before he merely added: "I'll be right there."

Jace waited for a little, and after five minutes, Jonathan arrived on the other side of the gate, and Jace let a relieved sigh that he wasn't wearing a tuxedo. He was wearing casual clothes who actually clashed with the humongous mansion from where he was coming from. Jonathan opened the gate to Jace and he told him:

"By the way, our parents are here. Mom will be ecstatic to see you. She's been nagging Clary to bring you along for ages."

Jace smiled to hide his discomfort, wondering if the siblings' mother was like their father or not. But as Jonathan lead them to the garden, Jace swallowed hardly and found a new worry than the parents Morgenstern.
