I don't know who these people are but I'm going to do as I'm told. I don't know why, but I will do whatever he asks of me.

Steve's POV
I sat with Bucky for a good two hours, just talking about everything. I can't believe that he has his memory back. This is the best day of my life. I asked him if he remembers what he did as the Winter Soldier. In reply he just nodded with guilt before I comforted him, telling him that he was brainwashed and didn't know what he was doing. It went quiet for a bit before Bucky spoke again.
"I remember watching Jayne die." He said quietly, almost in a whisper.
My heart dropped at the thought of her and how much it killed me that she couldn't be here for this moment. Bucky stared into the light above him, holding back tears.
"I could've saved her you know." He said sadly.
"She was severely injured Buck, she would've died in hospital." I said back.
"I shot her. I killed her, Steve." He stated. I could see the guilt in his face.
"Buck-" I started.
"I know, I know, I was brainwashed and I didn't know what I was doing." He cut me off. I nodded.
Bruce walked in before I could say something back.
"I think it's time that Bucky has some rest now. We don't want to make his headache any worse. By the rate that you're rejuvenating, you should be walking and be back to normal by tomorrow morning. It's a science miracle." He said, marvelling over Bucky's ability to heal so quickly.
I nodded in reply and stood up. I walked over to Bucky, he was sitting up now, and hugged him. He patted my back with his flesh arm, not moving his metal arm. I let go of him and smiled then walked out of them room. I had my best friend back. Finally.

Bucky's POV
Suddenly remembering everything about me and my life hurt. Not just my head but also my heart. I remember things that no one would ever want to; the faces of every person I killed, begging me not to, but I still did. Bruce said I would be able to have counselling to help with that but to me it seems pretty useless. I still feel like the Winter Soldier, I don't feel like Bucky.
"I know what it feels like you know." Bruce started.
I looked at him. He was fiddling with some machines next to my bed. He didn't make eye contact with me, he just kept talking.
"To know that you've done so many terrible things, killed so many people. I broke Harlem for gods sake." He laughed, not because it was funny but because it was ridicules.
He had told me about what happens to him when he gets angry and stressed. He also mentioned that it happened because he tried to recreate the serum that Steve was injected with. I'd never seen him as, the other guy, only as Bruce.
"Don't beat yourself up hey? It will only make it worse. Trust me, I know." He said before strolling out the room to look for Tony.
I sat in my bed in that room all by myself. My metal arm lay limply beside me. Every now and then it would recallibrate itself, humming and clicking. I hated it, I hated it so much. But it's apart of me now, I can't get rid of it. I tried to scratch the star off my shoulder but soon realised that it was red metal, not paint. Damn. I lay back down, staring at the ceiling, wondering if Steve and the others would want me to help take down Hydra. I would do that anyway. Soon I drifted off into a light sleep.3 Hours Later
I woke, startled by something. It was the middle of the night but there were people running around outside. I decided that I wanted to get up. Slowly, I sat up and put my feet on the ground, swapping weight from one foot to another. When I thought I would be alright, I stood up. My head spun a little but after a short while I was alright. I walked around, soon jogged around the room. I was back to normal.
"Hurry up!" Someone yelled outside in the corridor. It sounded like Tony.
There was a hell of a lot of thumping and yelling going on out there and I got suspicious. I made my way over to the door and opened it to find that the walls were...burnt? Why are they burnt?
"Steve?" I said. I got no reply.
This is wrong.
I jogged out of the room and down the hallway, following the singed walls, and the source of the yelling. Soon, I made it to a large room and was confronted with a strange sight. Steve, Natasha, Fury, Bruce and Tony were circled around a small figure. I made my way over to them and looked at the figure. It was netted down on the floor. Straight away I knew that it was Hydra. This person was in a black suit, equipped with a mask and goggles. Exactly like what I was dressed up in.
"Who is it?" I asked Steve.
He looked at me, surprised."Who is she." He corrected me. "We don't know, but she isn't fully human. She has abilities."
"Why don't you unmask her then?" I asked.
"Every time we try to get close, she sets herself on fire." He replied.
Fire? Hang on...fire!
I rushed forwards, holding my metal arm out so I wouldn't burn. As Steve said, she set herself on fire. It was so hot but I got close enough to rip her mask and goggles off her face. As soon as I did, the fire died down. I looked down at her, right into her eyes. Something about her eyes, her face, was familiar.
"What?" I heard Steve whisper behind me.
Jayne.
My heart thumped inside my chest. It was Jayne. She was alive. Hydra must have captured her after the Helicarrier crashed. She should've died. How the hell did she survive?
"Jayne." I said, gobsmacked.
She stared at me in the eyes. Suddenly her arms began to turn metal, like my arm.
"Who the hell is Jayne?" She snickered before bursting into flames and shooting out of the room, leaving a trail of singed floor behind her. Just like that, she was gone.
"Not again." Steve said.
I turned around and looked into his sad eyes. Twice now he has gone through this. Twice too many. I knew from that instant that our new focus would be to get Jayne back. I knew that everyone in that room loved Jayne like family. Her and Steve have been best friends forever, and her and I, well, you know the story.
"We have to find her." Steve announced. Everyone in the room nodded.

Natasha's POV
Now that we had decided to get Jayne back, at the same time we still had to take down Hydra, once and for all, which considering they are the same thing now, saving Jayne shouldn't interfere.
I sat across the room from Bucky and Steve who were on the other side talking to each other. Bucky glanced at me, sensing that I was looking at him. He looked majorly uncomfortable. I guess he had every right to, considering what he's just been through. I knew about his history with Jayne and he was handling quite well. You had to hand it to him, he's unbelievable at controlling his emotions.
I wondered if he remembers shooting me five years ago. I would've asked him but that would've been a bit insensitive of me.
The floor in front of me was burnt black. Tony wasn't too happy about it but, same as everyone else, him and Pepper wanted to get Jayne back. I thought about the way that she said who the hell is Jayne. It was like she knew but was taking the piss out of us in a sort of strange way. I had so many questions; did they brainwash her?; what did they tell her?; how did she survive? A single tear fell down my cheek as I thought about how much I missed her, about how much everyone missed her.
