they were happy. both of them. changkyun was still sick, yeah, but it has gotten a lot better than when they arrived in boston and right after their concert. he had a bit of a fever after all, a little headache and his throat was sore. but he was fine. he was okay as long as he knew that kihyun was with him, taking care of the younger and spending his time with him.
"kyun? you okay?" kihyun suddenly asked and snapped changkyun back into reality. the older was already standing in his room, holding the door open while changkyun was still standing outside, thinking.
"mh? yes, yes, sorry. i just thought of the food, that jooheon hyung brought to my room last night." kihyun looked confused. "i- i heard him come in."
"oh, um- i'm sure it's okay if we're going to eat a bit later on. it's only two or something." he smiled and changkyun did the same, agreeing with the older. after thinking about what to do, they both came to the conclusion that watching movies on the older's laptop would be the best way to spend the rainy day inside, so they did. it waskind of ironic since they could've gone with hoseok and hyunwoo to the theater if watching movies was all they're going to do, but they preferred it being this way. just the two of them, no other people and the movies of their choice. so like this, they made it themselves comfortable on kihyun's bed which was thankfully big enough for two people to lay in. then they started the first movie and went on with the second and third one.
"kyun? would you like to eat the food now?" kihyun looked at the clock. it was 9:22 pm.
"sure, ki." he smiled up at him and right away they got up. the older prepared two plates and drinks, while changkyun went over to his own room to quickly change his clothes and get the food that jooheon brought last night. thankfully it was still good. then he plugged his phone in to the charger next to his bed, left and walked back to kihyun's room once again, where he sat down to wait while kihyun heated up their dinner.
"hyung?" changkyun started after lifting his chopsticks to play a bit with the served food in front of him.
"mh? doesn't the food taste good?" kihyun, who obviously noticed the younger playing with the food, replied just when he was about to taste the food himself.
"oh, no. it's not because of that, it's just that you look quite tired. do you want me to leave after we ate?" the younger continued.
"no kyunnie, i'm okay. i'm not that tired yet. we can still watch more if you want to as well, of course."
"i'd love to. i just don't want you to not get enough rest because of me."
"oh, changkyunnie. what are you saying? you are so cute, you know that? you're still sick and worry about me?" kihyun smiled warmly.
"i always worry, hyung. and by the way, my cold is a lot better by now." he smiled back at him.
"well, then let's watch one more movie after eating, okay? i love to spend the time with you." kihyun said, taking his first bite.
"me too, ki." changkyun replied and from that point on, they enjoyed their little dinner while talking a bit more about their schedule and some random topics. kihyun also used this opportunity to properly tell changkyun about what they had talked about in the last meeting, so that the maknae could catch up on all their plans.
