the sun shines brightly through the curtains, hitting my eyes. i groan, hearing chattering coming from downstairs. what a way to wake me up. i open my eyes slowly, realising that i'm in seungyoun's room, hugging his bear plushie. i reach out for the blanket covers to pull it over my face so that i can sleep more but i feel it get roughly pulled off the bed.
"get up y/n, it's 11am and we're planning to go to the beach" my brother says, drinking his daily coffee. i still don't move from my position so he grabs my arms, pulling me up.
"fine, i'm up. what time are we leaving?"
"in an hour"
i hop off his bed and head straight to the bathroom, washing my face, then to my bedroom. i look through my swimwear, not being able to decide on which one to wear. after ten minutes of thinking, i finally choose to go with a simple black bikini. what a waste of time. grabbing a bag, i pack my sunscreen, towel, sunglasses etc. i quickly put on a yellow crop shirt and some black shorts over my swimwear as i hear shuffling outside my door.
"you ready?" wooseok calls from behind the door.
"yup" i walk out with wooseok, ignoring seungwoo who happens to be walking pass me. i hum along to the song that's stuck in my head until i get into any of the three cars. i sit myself beside minhee and wait for whoever sits besides me. so far one of the cars were full, my one with one seat left and the other, i wasn't so sure about.
car 1 - seungyoun, hyeongjun, wooseok, dongpyo, eunsang
car 2 - me, minhee, yohan, hangyul,___
car 3 - ???
hangyul calls out from the drivers seat for everyone to come out so that we could all leave at the same time. all different voices from inside shout 'i'm coming' causing minhee to imitate them. the door opens and the last boy sits next to me, leaving the rest in the last car. i swear under my breath while minhee holds my arm down so i don't harm the boy.
"ah seungwoo, we were betting on you taking the other car" yohan exclaims, receiving a hit on the wrist from hangyul from losing. seungwoo shakes his head and puts on his seatbelt. he takes a quick glance at me, making eye contact. i roll my eyes and face the other side, watching the video minhee was playing on his phone. the car starts to leave and yohan, being the in front seat, connects his phone to car and plays some music.
"yesss, i love this song" minhee and i shout at the same time, with our favourite artist, Lauv, playing. we sing the entire lyrics to the song, bouncing our head lightly to fit the mood and moving our bodies side to side.
if i wasn't paying attention, i wouldn't have notice seungwoo quietly singly along. of course i still adored his singing, it was so sweet like honey. my voice quiet down a bit just so i could hear it. although, yesterday he hurt my feelings, i knew still liked him deep down. i continued to watch him sing as he sang so brightly with a soft smile across his face.

we step out of the car, feeling the fresh air hit our faces while minhee and hangyul went to the closest bathroom they could find. i let my arms spread out to let the breeze run throughout my body, making me feel at peace. at least i thought i was until i heard the most annoying voice interrupt my thoughts.
"SEUNGWOO BABY! I MISSED YOU"
yohan and i snap our heads towards the voice and watch seungwoo and hayoung in disgust, them giving each other kisses everywhere. who even invited her? my lips automatically pursed and so i looked away to find something to distract myself.
i watch the beach waves roughly hitting the shore while kids made sand castles near the waves. smiling at the little children, my body was suddenly lifted into the air. i turned to see who it was...wooseok.
"noo, put me down! i'm heavy"
"you are not! come on, let's just have some fun before exams start"
i tried to get out of his arms but he was too strong and so i gave up. he took me to the sands to set up the area. i laid out the towels and he did the seats. dohyun and dongpyo quickly came to help us while handing out some cold drinks to quench our thirst. as soon as i finished, i sat down, enjoying the view with the others.
from a distance, i could see seungwoo teasing hayoung by carrying her and pretending to drop her into the water. i had no choice but to try to be happy about his choice of being with her, though i hated it. should i just remove myself from his life and just stop interacting with him? that would make life easier for both of us right? he hates me and i need to stop these stupid feelings.
"let's go into the water!" junho suggested. i agreed as i was taking off my shirt, leaving me in my bikini.
"seungwoo's gonna regret leaving us to be with hayoung after he sees you" minhee whispers into my ear. i face palmed at his comment and just hit his head lightly.
we all run to shore either splashing each other or pushing one into the water. luckily i wasn't pushed but i did end up falling. i must've fell on some type of sharp object because there was a large cut on my leg. i shrieked out in pain and yohan, being the closest one, rushed towards me.
"seungyoun! y/n's injured!" yohan yelled across. seungyoun quickly rushed me, with the others crowding around too.

i immediately stopped what i was doing and ran over to y/n. how'd she hurt herself? without knowing, i was extremely concerned for her. i pushed through the crowd, out of my way so i could have a clear view of her. i continued to bit my lip out of worry as i watched seungyoun help her to where they were sitting. it looked like a really deep cut, with a vast amount of blood dripping.
