The Bet: Andy

Was he gonna kiss me? or hug me? I guess I'm about to find out in a few seconds..

"Oh thank God your alright!" We both backed away when a woman who looked oddly alike as Rye came up and hugged him tightly, was this his mum?

"Hey..mom.." Rye said. I was scratching the back of my head in an awkward manner since we were just about to do whatever was about to happen, and God was I a little pissed since she ruined that moment. 

"Who's he?" His mum asked glaring at me with worry and also puzzled. "Oh..I'm Andy, I'm the one that brought Rye to the hospital.." I replied, Rye's mom smiled sweetly coming over to my side as she hugged me, that was so unexpected and also heart-warming since she was so grateful for my kindness, I saw the smile that Rye had on his face; it also brought joy to me.

"I appreciate how you looked after my son, when I heard he was in the ER I only could think of the worse..since your back is acting up I'll have someone else babysit the twins.."

Rye frowned, "Speaking of which where are they?"

"I took them to a friends, didn't want them seeing you like this.."

Rye nodded ~ the silence was pretty uncomfortable as we all kind gazed at each other, it was getting kind of late in the afternoon and my mum expected me to be home by 8...

"Well then. I should really get going..my mother is probably concerned..." I finally broke the awkwardness, Rye looked at me in awe. "W-wait you don't have to leave now do you?" He whined, why was he upset about me going?

"I should...remember it's school?" 

"How about you stay for tonight? get a feeling of what it's like in the Beaumont household, after all we are partners...you can borrow some of my clothes?"

Was the guy who I hated ever since the first day of school ask me to spend a night at his house? and to top it off wear some of his clothes? The part of me wanted to agree but the other part wanted me to just go home and meet with Rye the next morning, but will I get enough information about the Beaumont's if I'm trying to avoid Rye most of the time?

I couldn't say no since I still felt pretty bad about Rye's back, so out of pity I accepted; hoping that this decision wasn't a regret.
