To My Betrothed,

Can I ask you a question?

Have you ever felt bursting with so much emotions when looking into someone's eyes for the first time?

              I did.

That's what I felt when I first saw you seven years ago.  I don't know what about your eyes captivated me.  Is it the way it turns into shade of green in sunlight? Or is  it the window to your soul and emotion?  How I loved your eyes!

We have not seen each other for seven years and in my heart, I am hoping you still remember me because your whole being still engraves in my memory. I am excited to see you again.

I've been learning a lot of things these past years.  I have learned different languages so I won't think about you.  Everyday, I am praying that time will pass quickly so I can see you again.

There's somewhat music box playing in my head as I replayed the first time we met, the first time my eyes met yours.  I remembered you walking beside your father, the King of France.  You look so dignified, so ready to conquer the world at the young age.  My world stopped when you looked at me, I saw your captivating gray eyes.  My cousins told me that gray eyes are boring and ordinary but yours, it's different kind of gray.  That moment, I felt like we're the only one in the world.

My close cousin Betty warn me about these emotions, too rainbow and unicorn, too idealistic.  I may get burn but if this is love, I will gladly burn for you.

I know it is ridiculous because I was too young to know what love is by then but when my eyes met yours, I have envisioned our future together. They said young love is easily sway and forgotten but my love for you never waver a bit, it only intensifies every day. I can't wait to start our life together as husband and wife.  At a young age, I vowed to myself that I will always stay by your side and love you 'till my last breath.

I wanted to tell you that I have loved you for seven years now, My Lord and my long wait is finally over. Tomorrow, I will travel to France along with my gifts to you, My Lord.

See you my gray eyes Prince.

Your eyes are like an arrow

Piercing my heart,

Deeper to my soul

As you brand me yours,

Forever

Yours,

Elizabeth
