The losers couldn't believe they survived.

"W-w-we won," Bill said as they wheeled their bikes through town.

"Yes we did, Big Bill," Richie said as he used his free hand to pat Bill's back.

"My mom's probably going to have a heart attack when she sees me like this," Eddie said quiet but loud enough for the others to hear.

"You can clean up at my place if you want," Richie spoke.

"Thanks, Richie," Eddie whispered.

The losers all went their separate ways, Bill got on Silver and biked towards his house, Stan biked to his house, Ben to his, Bev to hers, Mike started to bike to his, with Richie and Eddie heading to Richie's house.

"What will your parents say when they see us like this?" Eddie asked.

"We'll be fine, don't worry Eds you're safe with me," Richie answered.

"Don't call me that," Eddie yelled.

"No can do my Eddie Bear, Richie rubbed his hand through Eddie's hair.

"Stop that," Eddie moved over just out of Richie's grasp. Richie however just moved closer to Eddie and put his arm over Eddie's shoulder. Eddie just sighed and let Richie do what he wanted to.

They got to Richie's house in ten minutes. Richie and Eddie parked their bikes outside of his house.

Richie opened the door, "After you my Eddie Spaghetti."

Eddie was instantly greeted with the smell of cigarettes and alcohol.

"Richie," a woman's voice broke the silence.

"Yes, mom," Richie called out.

"Be a dear and go downstairs and fetch me some more drinks," Richie's mom yelled back.

Richie sighed, "Yes, mom."

Richie started downstairs as Eddie just stood their awkwardly. Richie came back with two bottles and then disappeared into the kitchen.

Eddie heard a thud then glass shatter.

"I-im sorry," Eddie heard Richie sob.

"Sorry my ass," Richie's mom screamed, "now clean this up."

"Yes, mom," Richie said.

A few minutes later Richie came back to Eddie with his left cheek beat red, "Sorry about that Ed's, let's go to my room."

Richie grabbed Eddie's hand and led him up the stairs into his room.

"Rich," Eddie spoke, "I had no idea._

"It's fine," Richie said, "No big dealo."

"Richie, this is a big deal," Eddie said.

"Eddie, it's fine, I'm fine," Richie whispered.

"Richie, please don't," Eddie whispered back.

"Don't what?" Richie asked.

"Don't pretend everything is okay when it's not," Eddie said.

"Why not, it worked with the clown?" Richie jokingly asked.

"Real funny," Eddie said, "this is serious."

"And I'm seriously fine," Richie said.

Eddie sighed. He knew Richie wouldn't admit anything was wrong and he didn't know what else to do so he gave it up for now.
