Age 15

Richie was having a fallout with the losers club. He stopped hanging out with them and he just hanged out in his own little world. He wanted to start over, to be someone else.

Whenever one of the losers tried to talk to him he just shrugged them off until one day he became very defensive and would even go on the offense and would make fun of them. He thought if he hurt them maybe they would just stop trying to help. That they would just give up and realize he was a lost cause.

It hurt Richie to hurt his friends but he was depressed and not thinking right in the head.

"Richie," Bev said. Richie's heart sped up cause he knew he was going to try and hurt her.

"I don't want to associate with a slut," Richie said.

Bev did something that surprised Richie she slapped him, "Richie, I know this isn't you so you need to stop."

Tears started escaping from Richie's eyes, "Bev I'm-"

"Save it," she snapped, "you need help and we're your friends so you need to learn we are here to help. I know you've been extremely depressed since Eddie left," Richie winced at the sound of Eddie's name, "but we're still your friends and you need to grow up and actually accept our help because I don't know if you know this but you're being a huge pain in the ass and we love you Richie but you got to accept the help."

"Bev I'm-" Richie said but Bev cut him off again.

She raised her hand and pointed her finger at him, "Don't," she paused and then continued, "I am not the one you need to apologise to."

"What do you mean?" Richie asked.

"All of us are worried about you Richie," Bev said shifting from the angry tone to a more sad one, "but Stan has been the most worried. You really hurt us. You really hurt him."

"How?" Richie asked.

"How!?" Bev went mad again, "not talking to all of us and then turning into one of bad people who makes fun of us. You hurt all of us but Stan the most."

"How did I hurt Stan more than you guys?" Richie asked tears lining his eyes again.

"You've been best friends with Stan the longest," Bev said, "he cares for you more than he'd let on. I'm not telling you what to do Richie but please for your and everyone else's sake chose the right thing."

With that Bev walked away.

Richie stared at the ground, tears threatening to fall out. As much as he didn't feel like he was worth anything,  as much as he didn't believe he deserved any friends or even happiness he didn't want to lose The Losers Club. He already lost Eddie, he didn't want to lose the others.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid," Richie cursed at himself as he stomped on the ground. Tears started to fall. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath and tried to contain himself but as soon as he opened his eyes tears were flowing hard and fast. Richie fell to the ground choking on his tears. He crawled into a doorframe the school had that didn't have any windows on the door. He sat down and pulled his knees to his chest and just simply cried until he could no longer cry. After he couldn't cry anymore he simply stared at the wall across from him. He stayed there like that for two hours.
