Y/N'S POV

I laced my light pink sneakers and looked into the mirror. I was wearing a purple dress with pink flowers on it, "That's f-fine, I-I guess."
I grabbed my f/c backpack and my sketch book, before sitting back on my bed. I opened up my sketch book and flipped through the pages of beautiful birds I drew previously. The clock on the wall showed the time 7:15 am, "Perfect," I whispered.

I tiptoed down the stairs, crossing my fingers that my father wasn't awake. My father was standing in front of the door, his hands in fists. "Hi Y/N." "H-Hi daddy," I whispered with fear in my voice. I pushed passed him, trying to get through the door. He grabbed my wrist, where he previously gave me a bruise the day before. "Aren't you forgetting something?" He hissed at me. I turned towards him, not looking him in the eyes. He kissed my neck and then my forehead. "Don't talk to boys Y/N, you are only my little girl. Say I love you." "I-I love you," I said with tears in my eyes. I ran to the side of my house, grabbing my bike and holding it with intense grip.

School was almost done for summer. I looked across the room at the clock. I felt eyes staring at me, I locked eyes with a tall boy in a blue button up shirt and golden curly hair. I smiled at him and saw his cheeks go red before he looked back down at his pencil he was fiddling with. I took out my sketch book and flipped to the last page. I looked back over at the boy and started doodling.

As soon as I finished my drawing the bell rang. I opened my backpack up to put my sketch book away. "That is really good," the curly headed boy said. I looked at him in the eyes and smiled, "T-Thanks," I whispered. He sat next to me as I flipped through the rest of my sketch book, he smiled at all the birds he saw. "I am Stanley by the way." "Oh, I'm-I'm Y/N," I said quietly. "My friends are waiting for me so I hope to see you over the summer," He smiled. He ran out door. I put the rest of my stuff away and walked out the door.

I ran into someone, a terrible someone. "Hey watch it slut," The person said and I looked up meeting the eyes of the one and only Henry Bowers. I looked back at the cover of my sketch book before trying to walk past him again. "What the hell is this?" He said, grabbing my sketch book and flipping all the way through to the last page. "Oh, you got a crush on the Jew," he snickered, "You are too pretty for him," He whispered in my ear. I grabbed my sketch book back from his hands and started walking away. He grabbed my wrist right where my bruise was and twisted my arm.

I let out a moan of pain before he whispered in my ear again, "I will show you something to moan about baby." I looked at him directly in the eyes and without saying another word, I kicked him... down there. He fell of his knees and yelled, "You bitch!" People started to look at me but I was already sprinting. My eyes were blurry with tears and I couldn't see where I was going. I didn't stop, until my shoe laces decided to trip me, making me fall head first into the trash cans.

I touched my forehead, blood. "Whoa, that was kinda hot." I heard a boy say. "Shut up, Richie," the other short boy said. There were four of them, the one with glasses was I guess supposedly Richie. "He-hey, y-you okay?" A nice boy said, grabbing my hand and lifting me up. "What the fuck happened to your wrist?" Richie shouted. He started trailing up my arm and looked at my body. I yanked my arm away from him and winced in pain. "She is hot," He whispered to the short boy. "Richie, you're not funny." "Well Eddie, you're not either," Richie said. Eddie, that was his name, I looked back at the boy who helped me up while Richie and Eddie were fighting in the background. "I-I am B-B-Billy by t-the way," He smiled at me, "A-And th-that is St-Stan." I looked behind him and saw Stanley, the boy who had been staring at me during class. He blushed before saying "I have math with her, we met earlier."

Richie shoved his way out of the argument with Eddie, "You should come with us to the sewers tomorrow, we really need someone good looking in this group, I mean besides me." He lifted his hand around for a high five but Stanley just shook his head. "You can come if you want, you don't have to though," He smiled. "I-If I ca-can get aw-away from my d-d-dad," I stuttered, looking sheepishly down at my dress, "H-Here is m-my n-number." I took the cap off my sharpie and gestured to the paper that didn't land in the trash. Stan held his wrist out for me to write on instead. I looked back up at him and smiled, "Call me." Richie started jumping on Stanley and Bill patted his back for "getting a girl's phone number," while I walked towards where my bike was.

I was looking at myself in the mirror, I was only wearing my bra and underwear. I was looking at the bruises my father left me and I couldn't help but to compare myself to the other girls. The phone in my room rang and I jumped to get it before my father could hear.

"H-Hello?" "Oh um hi, it's Stan. Sorry for calling so late, but I heard what happened with Bowers, are you okay?" "I-I'm fine," I smiled. I liked hearing Stan's voice. "That's good." "T-Tell me ab-about you, I-I wanna k-know more th-than t-t-the curls," I said. That was a little bold, but lets go for it. "Oh, no one has ever asked me that," He laughed. His laugh was so quiet but sweet. "Well, I like to bird watch, I am Jewish, and I like girls in pretty dresses." I blushed, then giggled, "I-I like to d-draw and I-I like ex-exploring." I coughed before saying quietly, "and I like boys with curly h-hair." "What did you say Y/N?" "No-Nothing."

I had been talking to Stan for the past two hours, I had never laughed or even smiled so much in my life. My door slammed open, my dad was awake. He looked me up and down, "Why so much laughing Y/N?"
I went silent and grabbed tightly onto my phone. "What's wrong Y/N?" Stan said.
My dad heard his voice and started unbuckling his buckle. "Is that a boy baby? I thought I told you, no boys!" He hit me in the back with his belt and then ripped the phone out from the wall.
The last thing Stanley heard was me crying out in pain.

STAN'S POV

"Y/N! Y/N, are you okay!?" The phone went silent.

I set the phone back down and sat on my bed. It took a couple of minutes for me to actually lay down. I didn't sleep at all that night, I had to make sure Y/N was okay.
