"Y/N, y/n, y/n!"
"What what what what?"
(Y/N) met her girlfriends level of excitement with bemusement. The alien girl was quite literally shaking with excitement.
"I had an idea for my haunted room (TM)!"
"Oh?"
Mina nodded excitedly. She swung around the side of the couch, careful to not spill her popcorn.
"So what is it?"
Mina grinned happily, munching on some popcorn.
"Well, I took inspiration from those alien movies that humans watch and decided to do a moon themed room. But! It'll have all kinds of aliens on it like Gurkles, and Hins, and-"
She started to ramble about all the different kinds of aliens she'd met.
A few years ago Mina had come to Earth with her parents on an intergalactic student exchange mission. She had been left here to learn human customs and was adapting well. (Y/N) would know, she had helped Mina learn about her species. Being the nerd she is, she and Deku were Mina's best bets on learning about humans, and they certainly hadn't shied away from the opportunity.
(Y/N) probably knew more about Mina's kind than any other human being on Earth, not that she was bragging. ;3
Either way, while she loved listening to Mina ramble, she was seriously tired, and about ready to pass out. (Y/N) covered Mina's mouth with her hand and gave her a smirk.
"That sounds amazing, but why don't we go to sleep and get some stuff tomorrow?"
Luckily they had the long weekend to plan more extensively. Mina nodded obediently, and they headed to bed (not like that ya pervs) to get some sleep.
~Time Skip~
The next morning the two went to the Halloween store.
They browsed the aisles, examining all the costume supplies.
Numerous cloaks, capes, and dress hung against the back walls. There was rows of shelves containing things from fake teeth to zombie colored face paint.
The girls gathered everything they could carry and plopped it onto the counter. The boy working the register stared at the piles of stuff for a minute before sighing sadly and getting to work. (Y/N) and Mina giggled with each other, waiting impatiently for him to finish.
When he did they gathered the bags they were given and carried them out the store.
The chatted happily on their way back to (Y/N)'s house.
The second they walked through the doors they plopped their bags and frantically fell to the floor in a ball of laughter. (Y/N) had just finished laughing they heard a ring ring.
(Y/N) searched for her phone for a minute, until she realized it was in her pocket and picked it up. That wasn't what was ringing.
Mina peered over her shoulder, and frowned when she came to the same realization. She hummed quietly, then her gaze snapped to the counter top.
"The intergalactic transmitted!"
(Y/N) blinked in surprise as her girlfriend launched herself over to the counter to grab the cell phone like device. Mina grabbed it and plopped back down on the floor next to (y/n).
They picked up and stared as Mina's parents peered back at them.
"O-oh, hi Mom and Dad! Wassup?"
"Wa... Sup?"
(Y/N) cut in here, "it's an Earthern greeting, what's happening in your lives right now?"
Mina"s parents brightened considerably, "oh! Well we were just calling you to see how you are doing. Is everything okay over there?'
Mina nodded excitedly, "everything's great! We're making this huge Haunted Mansion with our class, and it's going to be awesome!"
"Haunted Mansion? Awe...some? Um... That is quite good sweetie. We are glad you are having a good time. We just wanted to check up on you."
"Well thanks! I'm doing great."
"If that is all, then farewell Mina."
"Bye Mom! Bye Dad!"
(Y/N) watched as Mina hung up then lightly tossed the transmitter on to the living room carpet. The alien girl turned to (y/n) and rolled her eyes.
"They're so stiff all the time."
(Y/N) chuckled, "I think they're funny, and really sweet."
Mina sighed but then she sent (y/n) a small smile and the (h/c) haired girl knew Mina thought the same.
(Y/N) gave her girlfriend a quick peck on the cheek, "now c'mon, we've gotta store this stuff until we can use it."
Mina nodded determinedly, "right!"
