Okay so like, I actually forgot about this and didn't write yesterday. But we can pretend it's still October 4th? Wow, good job Brooke! You're so punctual! Omg! xD
(Y/N)'s ears flicked up, the steady tapping of the rain on the rooftop barely loud enough to be heard over the chatter of the lunch room.
Out of all tables hers was definitely the loudest, Kirishima and Bakugou were talking (arguing), Kaminari was trying to impress Mina with little sparks of lightning, and Sero was throwing bandages around the room, wondering who would react weirdly.
(Y/N) sweatdropped, but her table was always like this, she should be used to it by now really. She hummed lightly to herself, ignoring the general chaos and eating her food quickly.
When (y/n) finished (they had sushi today, it was fricking good) she stood from the table. When nobody looked at her, she went to throw her sushi away and slip outside. Right before the door closes behind her she looked up and locked eyes with Kiri.
His horn were somewhat concealed by spiky hair, but crimson wings and a tail gave his supernatural species away pretty quickly. Dragon were few and far between, (y/n) had only ever met two. Kiri was the strongest she'd met, emotionally and physically.
Then again, she might be a bit biased.
Shaking away the thoughts, (y/n) flinched lightly when the door did close. She peered out from under the pavilion.
Ah yes, the rain.
She stuck her hand out, wondering how cold it really was. It was the beginning of October after all, she wouldn't be surprised if they were freezing and hard as ice.
Haha, this is the point where I should look up Japan's climate, but I'm too lazy so...
Surprising the rain fell softly against her outstretched hand. Cold, yes, but definitely not Antarctica material. A grin found its way into her face.
Perfect.
She started to step out into the rain. When the lunch bell rang. Fuck.
(Y/N) sighed, turning around to he back inside, the rain would have to wait.
When she met up with her friends again, Kiri threw an arm around her shoulders and his wing spanned out to cover her back. She leaned slightly into him as they walked (looking drunk because it was surprisingly hard to walk like that) back to their classroom.
~Time Skip~
The bell rang, startling (y/n) out of her stupor. Oh. School was over. She found herself looking out the window. Wondering. Hoping. The rain soaked window and slightly faster pitter-pattering answered her curiosity. Excitement thrummed through her.
Oh hell yes.
She packed her bag quickly, ignoring neatness in her face to exit the building. She almost sprinted out the door.
When the (h/c) haired girl reached the doors she dropped her bag (she didn't want it getting wet) and raced into the rain.
Her clothes were drenched almost immediately. The rain had picked up since she had checked it last, but she didn't care. She twirled happily in the evening rain, ignoring the stares and weird looks she got.
(Y/N) tilted her head up to the sky and closed her (e/c) eyes, letting the rain runs down her face. Good thing I didn't wear makeup today. She never did when there was a possibility of rain.
Her hair was going to be a bitch to comb out, and her Kitsune features were dropping from the weight of the water. This included her normally fluffy tails that dropped considerably, but not because of unhappiness. She was elated.
A laugh snapped her out of her happiness. She dropped her head and stared at the guy who dared interior her rain dancing.
It was Kirishima.
"Oh!"
Red spread across her cheeks... Had he seen everything?
Kirishima held out his hand for her, a goofy grin on his face. (Y/N) stared at him wide-eyed for a few moment before she took his hand.
The dragon-boy yanked her into his arms, and without warning, he took off. (Y/N) held back an unholy screech as the ground fell away around her. She definitely clung on to Kirishima a lot tighter. The red head just laughed as he tightened his grip on her too.
The higher up they went the more frightened (y/n) became. She buried her head in Kirishima's chest.
"Nope nope nope nope nope."
"Y/N, look around you."
"Haha, no."
"C'monnnn"
His words were infused with laughter. She cautiously raised her head. On the way up she hadn't noticed it. How the air thinned as the ascended. She could see why now.
The sky was bathed in an orangey-red hue. The send was almost blinding so she refrained from looking straight at it. The clouds hungs in dark bunches below them, she knew that if she fell she would go right through them, but they looked fluffy as cotton candy.
"Woahhh."
Kirishima laughed again, "told ya."
She thumped her hand lightly against his chest, then froze as that caused him to waver slightly.
"If you drop me I'll murder you! ... It is really pretty."
"I promise I won't drop you."
She looked up at his face. He was smiling down at her happily. She hesitated for only a split second. She stretched up and kissed him, up above the clouds, in a sunset paradise. In heaven.
Then they dropped. (Y/N) pulled back with a help as Kirishima hurriedly regained their balance.
"Ejirou!"
"Eheheh, sorry."
