Oof, I can't see Iida as a love interest, this one will definitely be shorter and probably a bit crappy but I can try?? (Btw, anyone who doesn't like bodily functions and that sort of stuff should skip this one. It's kinda gross.)

(Y/N) grabbed the hammer, passing it to her waiting boyfriend. He grabbed it without a word and went back to work. (Y/N) hopped on to the work table next to him and watched.him work.

Iida was trying to make the engines in his legs less likely to stall, but to do that he had to dismember certain parts at a time. Basically he was unable to move from his spot.

(Y/N) cringed at every squelch that came from his legs. Every time metal scraped against metal her ears flicked down and pinned against her head. Small amounts of blood splattered on the ground, but it wasn't as if Iida was concerned.

He was laser-focused on his calves, the small engines revving every now again as he tested them.

(Y/N)'s eyes traveled around the room. The girl wasn't squeamish but seeing someone dismember themselves like that would make anyone uncomfortable.

Her eyes traveled over the tools, wrenches, screw drivers, hammers, things meant for building. Of course, building things. Not humans.

Of course, the room was immaculate. In a few hours, after he finished, Iida would most definitely clean the mess he was currently making. (Y/N) would be there to help him, making jokes and wrinkling her nose at the smell the whole time.

One corner was not so clean. In fact, it was absolutely revolting. A curtain hung in front of it, but it was still visible through small holes and slivers of space. (Y/N) could vaguely see the medical table that sat there.

On it was stains. Blood, dirt, grease, you name it, it was probably on that table. Obviously someone had spent hours slaving over something previously on that table. Someone like Frankenstein.

Everyone knew the story of Frankenstein, monsters that were created from humans, stitched together and brought to life. In that corner was where the first ever monster had been created, Iida's great grandfather.

Before she could dwell on it more (Y/N) heard Iida grunt from his chair. She swung her gaze to face him, eyes staying stubbornly away from his legs.

"What's wrong?"

"Engine stopped working, I'll need some fuel."

(Y/N) scanned the room.

"Where...?"

Iida's gaze travelled over to the corner reluctantly.

"Of course."

Iida grimaced, "I can get it, just let me get up."

"No no no, I got it, I can get it."

Iida held (Y/N)'s stare for a few minutes, before nodding stiffly.

(Y/N) hopped from her perch and walked warily over to the corner.

She pushed the curtain aside lightly and spotted the oil.

She didn't look at the table. Or the saws hanging from the ceiling. She didn't see the dried blood and wonder how it could still possibly be there. She didn't wonder why someone would ever do this to someone. No.

She grabbed the oil, turned, exited, closed the curtain, and trotted away to give the fuel to Iida.

Iida furrowed his eyebrows at her, but she gave him a sweet smile and sat on the workbench again. He stared for a minute, frowning.

She smirked at him.

"If you weren't covered in oil and other weird fluids I would kiss that frown away."

Iida went red, "o-oh."

His response was met with (Y/N)'s cheerful laughter.

Hey, did you know that Frankenstein was actually the name of the scientist that created the monster? So it's Frankenstein's monster, not... Well... Y'know. Anyways, just an interesting fact. I was trying to hint about it but... Oh well. Anyways, sorry for the shortness, baiiiii.
