"So... let's start with some simple questions, shall we? Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
I flashed a charming smile while slowly sliding the flashdrive out of the USB port and into my clutch purse. "Oh, I was looking for the bathroom, but I think someone's in there so I decided to wait in here."
"Really?" the man asked, stepping toward me. He must have expected me to flinch, but I stared right back into his flashing brown eyes.
He knelt in front of me so our gazes leveled with each other. "Decided to hack in while you were waiting, huh?"
"Hack?" I scoffed. "Don't be ridiculous, I don't know how to do anything like that."
He smirked, his full lips thinning out. "Sure you don't. Mind telling me your name?"
The door's lock clicked, and five men walked inside, all out of breath and a couple swaying from drinking. Three were Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook, the other two I didn't recognize at all. One of them had a shock of mint-green hair and a grumpy expression, the other had silver hair parted down one side and a serious countenance. "Mikki?" Hoseok said, walking over to the chair and taking my hand.
"Shit Hobi, you sure know how to choose them," Jimin said, smirking.
The man in front of me leaned closer, his elbows practically in my lap. "Let's try this again," he said. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
I shook my head, trying to look as scared as possible. If they kept pressing, I might have to summon some tears to sell the act. "I t-told you, I was looking for the bathroom. I'm Kwak Mikki, Hoseok's date."
"At least she's telling half the truth," he murmured.
"Enough, Jin. She told me less than five minutes ago she was going to the bathroom. She really might have gotten lost," Hoseok said forcefully. I reminded myself to thank him later, although my gratitude was more for my sake than his small act of kindness.
Jin shook his head. "I got an alert someone was trying to hack into Jimin's computer, and I came around to find her sitting here. That's not a coincidence."
He suddenly stood and smacked the back of Jimin's head. "What did I tell you about locking your doors?" The younger man hissed and waved his Hyung away.
I pulled out some of my best acting and started to cry, frightened tears leaking down my face and causing my makeup to smear. "I'm s-so s-sorry, I didn't know! I seriously just sat down and started messing with the keyboard, I was just playing around, I swear..."
Hoseok tried to comfort me, rubbing my hand with both of his. The silver-haired one leaned down, nudging Jin out of the way, and pulled my clutch from my grasp before I knew what was happening. "What are you doing? Give that back!" I cried. He held it out of my reach, opened it, and tipped it upside down. The flash drive fell into his outstretched palm, along with my phone and wallet.
I immediately stopped crying. "My name is Kim Namjoon," he murmured, "And I think it's time you told us the truth, Mikki."
I smirked, my wet eyes narrowing. Oh, I'd tell them the truth... the one they wanted to hear, anyway.
I didn't notice the green-haired man stepping quietly toward me until he plunged a syringe in my neck. "Sweet dreams," he murmured. I tried to fight it, but colored spots were already forming at the edges of my vision. They danced and fluttered around until I finally gave in and let them consume me. My head dropped, but my senses were able to pick up Hoseok's voice before I totally lost consciousness. "Really Yoongi?" he asked incredulously. "Was that necessary?"
