Author's Note Time

Welcome back my kuties! I apologize for my lengthy absence, the holidays were crazy for me. I worked my retail job, went to family parties, and then some. Plus, this chapter was kind of hard for me to pin down and write, so that didn't help. Either way, I'm back! Hope you enjoy!

CHAPTER WARNINGS: SWEARING, TOXIC MASCULINITY, SHIRTLESS MEN. There are a shit ton of swears, (like always) as well as some of BTS being assholes. That's it for this one :D As always, please love yourself first! <3

All seven members of Bangtan Sonyeondan and I were extremely grateful when Jin managed to whip up a meal using only a minimal amount of groceries and a portable stove. We were currently crammed into Namjoon's motel room, grouped around the pot as we slurped ramyeon from paper bowls. I sat between Yoongi and Jimin across the circle from Taehyung, who still refused to look my way, and Hoseok, who wouldn't stop throwing glances my way. A nasty shade of purple made its way across his jaw where Yoongi hit him, matching the bruises spreading over my wrists. I determinedly yanked the sleeves of my sweater down while doing everything I could to avoid his eyes.

It was Namjoon's deep rumble that finally cracked the awkward silence. "We need a plan for tomorrow."

Jimin groaned. "Come on Hyung, we've barely gotten any time to relax. Can we at least finish eating first?"

"I don't wanna hear it," Bangtan's leader snapped in response. "In case you've all forgotten, Mikki and Taehyung were shot at and the rest of us were followed. We need a solid plan that covers all our bases in case there are any contingencies."

"Agreed," Jin said, placing a hand on Joon's shoulder. "But before that, I think I found something that could eliminate at least one contingency."

He adjusted his glasses before turning his tablet, causing us to lean forward. A grainy picture of the van sitting in traffic filled the screen. "Look here," Jin said, pointing. Jimin gasped, mirroring my emotions. Two black SUVs identical to the one that tailed Taehyung and me sat just a few cars down from the van.

"They followed us all the way from Seoul?" Yoongi said, his voice colored with skepticism.

"From a distance, but yes. Luckily, I was able to hack into traffic cams and run their plates," Jin said. "The good news? They're not cops."

"And the bad news?" Jungkook asked, voicing what we were all thinking.

Jin hesitated, taking a deep breath before answering. "The cars are owned by the Kang Diamond Corporation."

Anxiety filled the room like poisonous gas, clouding our minds and choking out any shred of safety and security we had left. "So our identities have been compromised?" Jimin murmured.

"It's possible, but I don't think so," Jin replied. "Remember the phone call with Jisoo? She mentioned hearing rumors about Mikki coming to work for Bangtan Sonyeondan. What if those rumors were started by the Kang family?"

"You mean they've been tracking me since I left Busan?" I tried to keep my voice steady.

"It's highly likely they've always kept tabs on you. You've run in their circle for a while now, right?"

"Hardly," I said, slightly offended. The Kang family was one crime syndicate I was working to take down, not get in good with.

Jin tapped his tablet screen thoughtfully. "Well either way, they could have noticed your sudden departure from Seoul. The fact that you left so suddenly while still in need of money might have tipped them off that you were planning to search for us."
