Stanford had theorized that because Billy was made of ink, he would need the same inky sustenance. "Open up Billy" Stanford said, holding out the small baby bottle, he had decided on the bottle as he didn't want Billy spilling ink everywhere, he was still a new demon, a baby really, so it seemed appropriate. Billy scrunched his eye shut and turned his form away "Aren't you hungry?" Stanford asked, shaking the bottle.

Billy open his eye a tad and Stanford held the bottle out again "Come on, it's good I promise." Billy reluctantly took it.

The demon opened his mouth wide, allowing Stanford to see his sharp pointy teeth, black tongue and his eye, which had moved to the back of his throat. It was rather disturbing. Billy shoved the bottle, plastic and all into his mouth and bit down. There was a loud, shattering crunch as he closed his mouth and chewed.

Stanford gaped, the demon giving him a grin once he had swallowed, ink around his mouth "Well, that's one way to do it, well done" Stanford said, picking him up and hoping that the plastic hadn't hurt him. Billy giggled and Stanford smiled, "Little monster you are" he said affectionately, stroking his left side as he made his way up to the house.

Billy purring happily in his hand.

Teaching Billy to walk without falling over was proving difficult. Billy gave up easily and got grumpy just as quickly. Stanford held his finger over him as Billy held on to it, trying to keep him balanced as his little black fingers grasped it tightly "Okay left and right, like I showed you" Billy wobbled as he tried, the eye in a small frown, "There we go, almost got it" Stanford said, Billy smiled at him, letting go of his finger, feeling confident.

Bad idea,

The demon squeaked as he fell over onto his back, his limbs stretching as he tried to get up. Stanford helped him up and Billy gave him a grumpy look, crossing his arms, "You going to have a tantrum now?" Stanford asked, Billy stuck out his tongue and blew a raspberry at him.

Stanford sighed and stood up, turning on the TV. His cartoon was on, the first episode of the first season, it seemed they were re-playing them all. Billy turned to the noise, eye widening at seeing himself on the large machine. He crawled over and focused on the screen, little black foot tapping to the music.

Stanford smiled, that should keep him entertained for a bit.

Stanford had ordered an ink machine, that way Billy would always have a supply food. It came a week later, and he went out to greet the two men, Billy on his shoulder, "Hey! Are you Mr Pines?" one asked. Stanford nodded, "Yes, that would be me, you brought the machine I ordered then?" The men nodded "Hey! You're that guy who makes those kids toons right? My nephew loves them" one said, handing Stanford the clipboard to sign, "Yes, that would be me" Stanford said with a smile.

Billy squeaked and peered down at it, the writing made no sense to him and he tugged at Stanford's ear. The man chuckled "Its a clipboard Billy, nothing to worry about" he said quietly, the man glanced at Billy perched on his shoulder.

"Whats that? A robot? Pretty real looking" the man said, fascinated.

"Thank you, I made him myself, self-learning too" Stanford said, he knew better than to tell the man the truth.

"Heh, smart guy huh? It's even better than the damn plush toys you sold back in the city, my Nephew has like five of them, his mother told me he wants a Toon themed birthday party."

"Cute" Stanford said, signing his name once he had read the form and handed it back.

The men helped install the machine in his basement, adding some pipes throughout the house, so the ink could be accessed in certain places like the kitchen. "There, any chance I could have your signature again, for my nephew?" the man asked, pulling off his ink stained gloves. Stanford happily signed a few pieces of paper and a poster with Billy on it, an old one too by the looks of the paper.

Billy watched the men in the bright orange vests leave, their truck made a grumble noise and sped off. The ink gurgled as they ran through the pipes, easy to hear as they went back inside. Billy thought they sounded funny, like Fords stomach when he was hungry, "Okay bud, you wanna do some more walking practice? You need to learn" Stanford said, as they entered the living room, Billy huffed and flicked his ear, and the man chuckled.
