"Are you ready,Xheayna?"tanong sa kanya ni Bobbie,isang sikat na make-up artist.Ito talaga ang nag-aayos sa kanilang mag-ina kada may events silang dadaluhon or pageants kung siya ay may sinasalihan.Even in her mother modelling days hanggang sa kanya ay ito talaga.
"Maybe?"nakangiwing sagot niya dito.Napatawa naman ito.
"Alam mo,natural na iyan.Ganiyan ganiyan din ang mommy mo noon lalo na ng kasal nila ni Geoffold.Kahit ako,nung kasal namin ni Edmond.We're bestfriends.Instant make-up artist niya na ako since our highschool days."nakangiting kwento nito sa kanya.
"Engagement ko pa lang naman po Tita Bob."nahihiyang sabi niya dito.
"Siyempre,doon din naman ang punta niyo noh?Kung anuman ang nararamdaman mo ngayon,wala pa iyan sa araw ng kasal mo."tudyo nito sa kanya.
"Tita!"and they both laughed.Naririnig niya na ang emcee ng party.
"And now,let give a round of applause to Ms.Laureein Xheayna Morris Monteverde!"and the crowd,did it.Lalo siyang kinakabahan habang paakyat sa stage.Patuloy pa rin sa pagpalakpak ang mga bisita.Someone offer a hand to her and it was Vernon.Nagtama ang mga mata nila.And they smiled at each other.
Tumingin siya sa mga bisita at nginitian ang mga ito.When suddenly,Vernon let go of her hand at pinatigil ang pagsasalita ng host ng kanilang engagement party.Naguguluhang napatingin siya kay Vernon but he just smiled habang palapit sa kanya at may hawak nang mikprono.
"Good evening,Ladies and Gentlemen,before we proceed...Let me finish this first."masuyo nitong hinaplos ang mukha niya and kneel one her knees in front of her.Napatakip siya ng bibig at naluluhang yumuko dito."Reein,we started in a wrong way but even in a short period of time,it wasn't really bad at all.I know...well,we...we both know that we had this sparks...we feel mad attraction between us...No...more that that,right?"nginitian siya nito.Nagpatuloy ito."I want you to be mine.Not only officially but I also want your heart and soul to be mine 'til the day I die.Can you give me that?"pagsusumamo nito.His eyes are watery.Tuluyan ng kumawala ang luhang kanina niya pa pinipigilan.
"Of course,Vernon...Yes!"he slid the ring in her finger and then stood up.Magpapakipot pa ba siya?Eh tama naman ito.She feels the same way and that makes her the happiest.They hugged each other and Vernon reach for her lips.Everyone happily congratulated them.
