Haechan woke up to screaming. He bolted upright, and kicked the covers off his legs. Almost out the door, he paused when he heard something else. Laughter.

"Jaehyun! Stop it, I'm trying to make breakfast, you idiot!"

Jaehyun's deep laughter echoed down the hall and into Haechan's ears. The groggy boy groaned as he walked into the kitchen, where he saw Taeyong being mercilessly tickled by his boyfriend. The pink-haired boy was trying not to laugh, but it was obvious Jaehyun was tickling all of his most ticklish spots. He picked up a handful of flour from the pancakes he was (trying) to make, and swiped it up into Jaehyun's dark hair. He retreated quickly after giving Taeyong a light peck on the lips.

Haechan tried not to smile but couldn't, seeing his best friend being so soft for once. Taeyong wiped flour off his nose, but only ended up smearing more on his face. He grumbled half-hearted insults at Jaehyun, but noticed Haechan walking in and smiled. He waved a metal whisk in the air, and flipped the pancake expertly on the stove.

"Haechan! Good morning! Sorry you had to witness us being mushy."

Jaehyun laughed from behind Taeyong, wrapping his arms around his waist. The cook whined in protest, but stopped after a moment or two, used to his boyfriend's affection. Haechan sat down at the kitchen island, and leaned his elbows on the counter. Nestling his head into his hands, he said a quiet,

'Good morning',

and reached for an apple across the counter. Taking a large bite out of the side, he sat quietly, listening to the sounds and smells around him.

"So. Haechan, I'm going to get straight to the point. You can't live here. Rent is already enough as it is, and Taeyong and I need space-"

"I know."

"Then what's your plan?"

"I don't know yet. I might stay with Yuta, since he's pretty rich, but he and Winwin are... loud. Remember when we stayed over one night?"

Jaehyun shuddered in remembrance, and Taeyong cringed. He flipped another pancake on the stove while Jaehyun talked to Haechan about his options.

"What about Kun, Hyuck?"

"He has seven cats. And also, I'm allergic to cats."

"Oh, right. Renjun?"

"No, he's friends with Jaemin, and I don't really want to see him. Also he'd probably kill me in my sleep."

"You could stay over at Johnny's."

"They're even louder than Yuta and Winwin. Anyway, Ten is kinky as hell and I really don't want to hear that."

Jaehyun ran a hand through his brown hair and sighed.

"Damn. All of our friends are gay and horny."

Haechan laughed quietly as he took the offered plate of pancakes from Taeyong.

"Oh! I have a friend you could stay with, Mark!"

Haechan nearly choked on his pancake, and his friend patted him on the back.

"You know him?"

"Does he seem like the kind of person to order a cappuccino at two thirty am?"

"...yeah. He's kind of the essence of crackhead culture."

"Really good cheekbones? Kind of cute?"

"I mean yeah, I guess he's cute."

Taeyong slapped him lightly with a piece of bacon, and Jaehyun stood up from the couch to hug him. The pink-haired male frowned slightly as his boyfriend pinned his arms behind him and kissed him lightly on the lips.

"Babe, I'm trying to cook here."

Jaehyun grumbled a little bit in response but didn't stop. Haechan quickly stuffed his mouth with pancake as he scrambled to his room. Jaehyun picked Taeyong up and set him on the counter, kissing him harder. Taeyong moaned a little bit into the kiss, and Jaehyun mumbled something Haechan thankfully couldn't hear, as Taeyong gasped in surprise and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck.

Haechan in his room quickly plugged in his headphones and set the volume on high. Speaking of gay and horny, he thought as 'Fake Love' sounded through his ears.

Shutting out the world and the lovers outside his door, he sank back into the covers and hummed along.

"I'm so sick of this fake love, fake love, fake love..."

He began thinking about Jeno, and how he found Jaemin under him. Sinking into his thoughts, he closed his eyes and tried to block out the lewd sounds coming from outside.

Thoughts of Jeno and last night swirled around his head as he shut his eyes closed even tighter. Where was he going to live? He would need to go back and get clothes... shit, he forgot his wallet.

He sighed as a loud moan broke through his headphones. Gross, he thought as he recognized the voice as Taeyong. The motherly figure circled in his mind, reminding him of how he didn't have anyone like that... anymore. Nearly crying, he thought about how almost all of the people he knew were in happy relationships. Other than Kun and Renjun, he didn't think there was anyone single that he knew.

He suddenly thought of Mark, the cute customer from the shop early that morning. Jaehyun said that he could live with him, right? That means he's either single or not gay.

Haechan nearly laughed at himself. If Mark was friends with Jaehyun, then he was automatically gay. Jaehyun just... didn't like hanging out with straight people.

Haechan realized that he literally had no straight friends, and laughed out loud. 'Before Our Spring' came on, and he rolled his eyes.

Spotify, are you trying to make me cry?

He mused, and with great effort, dragged himself outside. Running out of the house, Haechan opened his eyes. Sprinting through the kitchen where Jaehyun and Taeyong hadn't left definitely wasn't a good idea. He had swiped the car keys and ran for his life before he saw parts of his friends he didn't want to see.

Rounding the corner, Haechan pulled onto the street his ex-boyfriend lived in. Running his hands through his hair nervously, he took a deep breath and stepped out of the car.
