"Kion!"  Anga's voice came from above.

"Fuli?"  Kion looked to his mate.

"On it."  Fuli looked up and found Anga and Ono flying above.  "They're back from the Tree.  Beshte's near as well."

"Anga, Ono, come down!"  Kion shouted towards the birds before they flew down to in front of them.

"How did you know Ono was there?"  Anga asked, surprised.  "You couldn't have scented him."

Ono landed and looked at Fuli.  "Cheetahs have great eyesight.  But only in the day.  Common knowledge, really."

"So you saw us?"  Anga looked at Fuli.

"Yes."  Fuli answered.  "We just need Beshte before we can start trying to figure what to do."

"What do we need to do?"  Ono asked.  "Zazu just said you needed us."

"We didn't explain anything to Zazu."  Kion responded.  "And we can't explain much."  He looked to Ono and Anga.  "Can one of you get Kovu and Kiara and bring them to the lair?"

"Kovu?"  Ono asked, surprised.  "And why not the king or queen?"

"We'll tell you what happened later."  Kion answered, close to tears.

"Ono, you know what Kovu looks like, right?"  Fuli looked at the egret.  "Green eyes, dark mane, scar across his left eye?"

"The scar's new, but I know what he looks like."  Ono started to fly.  "I can find them."

"Asante, Ono."  Fuli thanked Ono before turning to Kion.  "Are you okay?"

"I will be."  Kion wiped his eyes with his paw before looking at Anga.  "Can you fly to Beshte and tell him to meet us in the Lair?"

"No need."  Anga answered.  "He's coming right here."

"Kion!"  Beshte exclaimed.  "Where's Ono?"

"Getting Kiara and Kovu."  Kion explained, hoping that Beshte wouldn't ask why it wasn't the king and queen.  His hopes were diminished.

"Why not the king or queen?"  Beshte looked at his leader.

"We'll tell you later."  Fuli explained.  "Right now, we need to get to the Lair."  She looked to her mate, who looked like he was about to cry again.  "Kion, come here."  She walked to in front of the guard, well out of earshot.

"What is it, Fuuls?"  Kion asked once he was beside Fuli.

"You don't need to think too much about them."  Fuli responded.  "It will help you to tell the Guard as well.  It will help both of us."

"You're right."  Kion replied.  "Bunga might be able to help as well."

"Bunga."  Fuli rolled her eyes.  "How?  Joke around?"

"That could be helpful."  Kion responded.  "And he's technically our uncle."

"How?"  Fuli asked.

"Simba was your foster father, and my father," Kion explained, "and he was raised by Timon and Pumbaa."

"And so was Bunga."  Fuli finished.  "I can't believe that."

"It's true."  Kion's voice faltered as he continued.  "I don't think my mom did either."

"It's okay, Kion."  Fuli pushed her muzzle into Kion's cheek.  "They're still with us."

"I know."  Kion wiped his eyes with his paw.  "We're almost there."

As they entered the Lair, Vitani stood up and looked at them.  "What are you doing here?"
