A long while ago before Kion's Lion Guard was made, Nala had a friend, a very close friend. This friend's name was Nirmala. After a forbidden romance, Nirmala was forced to leave her one true love. She became so embedded in grief that she gave up her only cub out of despair. Nala agreed to raise the cub as her own and tell everyone including the cub that she was it's mother. But somehow, Nala didn't think that the cub, Kion, would be better off living this lie. Until someone very close to him finds out the truth... I started this story when I first saw "Friends to the End", and gave up on it once Kion ended up with Rani. I don't know how often I'll update, but this is an AU to The Lion Guard Season 3. Kion and Fuli end up together. Everything up to "Friends to the End" happened in this timeline.
