27th June
Magic can happen - anytime, anywhere...
"Heartbeats faster than ever - I can't really say anything about hearing the ring of the bell but I can certainly sense the butterflies in my belly and my heartbeat drumming so hard."
She had even learned to tell little lies and make a million excuses for her mom to go out and meet Jason. Some one year - 365 days ago he texted and asked her something - the answer for which she told she will give when she returned home. He waited, she waited and finally, one year ended. When they finally met, neither he nor she could say a word about it.
As they sat under the shade of a cypress tree near a red chhorten (a small monastery) facing the river rushing by- the words seemed impossible to come out. So he took out his phone, opened the notes and started typing. "Do you love me Amy?" as he typed each word, she could sense and see his hands shaking over the phone. She looked into his eyes and said: "Yes, I do."
With a heartwarming smile, he texted again, "Are you comfortable being in a relationship now?" After hesitating for a moment she said, "Umm...about being in a relationship and all, I feel a little uneasy."
"Even us sitting here like this and pouring our feelings out, watching the sunset and talking about our dreams; meeting and going out for walks - this is what relationship is all about - it's nothing so different from this. If you aren't comfortable then you don't have to tell your friends and parents about it, just say we are close friends or something like that," he added hopefully.
THE PROMISES
"I will be that boy Amy," he said. "I will hold your hands even if you let go of it and I will be the star that shines for you, cutting through the dark. Just follow me and I will guide you home."
"Do you trust me?" he asked.
"Of course I do" the answer was so obvious in her sparkling bright eyes.
"Please, will you close your eyes then."
"Why? What?"
She knew what he exactly intended to do, even so, she didn't want it to happen so fast. However, her drive failed before his pleading eyes and at last as his warm hands wound around her soft necklines and brought her closer to himself, she closed her eyes and felt the touch of his soft wet lips on hers.
"It was my first kiss" he texted her that night.
"You are the first boy I ever kissed, Jason, I want you to be the last," she said as she smiled over his picture in her phone.
