I forced my eyes open to a blinding light, one that stung my eyes and would probably irritate any other person, but not me. The light could only mean one thing, freedom.
I arose from my long, long slumber to the beautiful sound of acoustic guitars. Beautiful yet haunting. I was surrounded by ghosts, vampires, every creature you could possibly be afraid of , it was like a scene from a horror movie but I was not afraid, not of anything anymore. I had been sleeping for weeks, almost hibernating, and I had been trapped in a nightmare the whole time. All I could do was sleep, unless I was willing to face the tragedies of reality.
My situation at the moment is that I live in an abandoned house, I don't pay to live here, and I have to pray everyday that no one catches me here. I was kicked out of my apartment, apparently I'm too young to live on my own, I'm fifteen, big deal. I sold thousands of copies of my album, I was living the life, but I had my five seconds of fame, guess I was a one hit wonder. Now, I'm nothing. Nothing but a homeless fifteen year old orphan who's mother died years ago and who's dad died recently, I missed his funeral too, I'm so ashamed, I was so caught up in fame that I missed my own dad's funeral for a stupid gig.
And now I'm stuck. Stuck here with the ghosts of my parents, but they can not see me.The vampires are after me. My father was fascinated by them and I wasn't there for him when he needed me most.
I can almost see them here. I feel surrounded, but I am alone.
