Prologue

New Prologue

Worry filled the room. They were half way through an Order meeting and there had been no further news. Not even everyone was there. Some were away on missions while some others had been in serious accidents. Whereas some had just disappeared and stopped turning up at all. Friends and family had been lost and anxiety was common along those still there.

Those present were Lily and James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Alice and Frank Longbottom, Marlene McKinnon, Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore, Alastor Moody, Dedalus Diggle, Arabella Figg, Rubeus Hagrid, Minerva McGonagall, Dorcas Meadowes, Fabian and Gideon Prewett, and Emmeline Vance. 

Both the Potters and Longbottoms wanted to get home soon as they both had very small children of only 4 months old, Harry and Neville.

"Professor, please, how much longer will we be. We really must be getting back to Harry. We can't have Bathilda looking after him all the time! We want to spend time with our son!" said Lily, looking at the clock behind her.

"Of course, dear. We just need to hear from Moody, and then we will be finished for tonight" said Dumbledore, looking as tired as everyone else. Lily nodded, smiling a little at her old Professor.

Just as Moody was about to speak a bright light flashed in the center of the table they were surrounding. As it disappeared, the 17 wands in the room were left pointing at a box of what looked like papers. On top of them was a bright blue envelope addressed to "The Oringinal Order of the Pheonix".

Slowly, as they assessed the box for any hidden dangers, all the wands were lowered and Sirius picked up the note, quickly scanning it, his eyes widening dramatically as he read through it.

"Well don't just keep it to yourself, read it out loud!" demanded Marlene, quickly, Lily nodding from beside her, getting more and more agitated to get home to her child, the nights events puzzling her and making her want to check up on her son.

"It says...

Dear Original Order of the Phoenix,

"Why does it say "original"?" wondered Alice out loud, her husband shrugging his shoulders at her question that surely none of them would be able to answer.

We are writing to you from the future and as you can see, magic has developed quite a bit. We have sent you a collection of letters and other writings which we hope you will read.  They are all to do with Harry Potter, and are written by himself and the others around him now and that grew up with him. Once the box is opened, everything outside of this room will freeze, so you have all the time in the world to read. We will also be sending people back to join you in your reading so don't be alarmed!

Please be warned that some of the events that occur are quite alarming but not everything is as straight forward as it first seems.

P.S. Remember you can't change anything that happens as we do not know what consequences that could have.

"How do we know that there isn't a curse?" asked Frank, looking concerned.

"Why are they all centered around my son!" shrieked Lily, looking very stressed. James laid a hand on her shoulder and pulled her into a hug but he looked worried too.

"What events? You don't think Voldemort is still around in the far future?" question Fabian.

"I hope not" answered his brother.

"Well, if there had been a curse, then would something not have happened by now?" said Marlene.

"I agree with Marlene, we should read it! It could be really important and maybe give us some information on certain people," said Sirius, winking at Marlene, causing her to blush, and then try to hide it by scowling at him. Everyone looked at Dumbledore who nodded, smiling convincingly at Lily and James who looked torn between wanting to read and not.

"Ok..." sighed Lily, hoping her baby hadn't gotten into to much trouble and that at least if he had she and James had still been there for him.

"Yes!" cheered Sirius, "Can I read first!" he asked, looking around the room for any objections, then picked up the first letter.

Hey guys, I've decided to leave the old prologue on here for just now so that people still know that its the same story. I will try to have the first chapter up soon and I hope you like the new prologue. I promise that I will try to post regular updates but I do have school, and exams, and other stuff on too.
