- Sebastian Walker's POV -

Thanks to the help of X and C, we finally managed to disable Moonlight's plan. It was a good thing, too - our laptop batteries were almost drained.

The next day, we all met up in M's office for a debriefing. It had been our longest night yet. So really, we all met up late afternoon.

"We discovered Fiona Walker's body in the river during the early hours of the morning," M began, "It looks like her backup had betrayed her."

"Plus, heels aren't good for swimming!" N chirped, "But we're working on rounding up Moonlight, so that'll all be sorted... we hope."

Zero looked around the room, feeling oddly out of place. "Um. So... I'm not an agent. Why am I here?" she asked.

N turned to her with a smile. "We heard you didn't like that school you were going to, and... well, we will have to interview you for a bit..."

"She'll need some place to stay," I said, "And no, I'm not babysitting another child again..."

"Oh, no! That's not what we meant!" N chuckled nervously, "I, um... well... I know Joe doesn't like to talk about it, but we're... we put in for... oh, Joe, can't I say it?!"

M looked at his partner and sighed. "Alright, but... only if everybody in this room keeps this on the down low."

N practically jumped for joy. "So! We were thinking of adopting our own child... Zero, we'd like to ask you something..."

Zero looked at the two, her eyes widening. "Y-You're asking me... I'll have two dads... that are in charge of Interpol?"

M nodded awkwardly. "Is... is that a problem to you...?"

"Not at all!" Zero shook her head, "On one condition! I get the letter Z! I have to match with you two, after all!"

Admittedly, none of us had seen her this cheerful before. M seemed to be cracking a smile, too.

N ran up to his new daughter and gave her a hug. "This is great! I'll bake cookies for everyone!"

Julia watched the new family and smiled to herself. "I hate to break the happy subject, but... we need to do something about Griffin. He's the reason Kotoko and Zero were put in danger-"

"I agree," said M, "I'm putting a ban on his presence in Interpol. He's caused too much... chaos."

"Finally!" I flashed a smile at Julia. This was a long time coming. "Looks like you'll need a new assistant, huh, Julia?"

Julia chuckled. "We'll have to see, won't we, Q? You'll have to start getting used to being in the field."

I looked away to hide my blush. If I was managing to look red right now, I'll be a mess when she starts calling me by my actual name-!

——

Felix read the email over and over and over again. Banned? He was just a civilian. There's no way he could be banned. He didn't even do anything, did he?

Well, yes, he did work with the leader of Moonlight. But that was just to mess with Julia. She didn't want Kotoko to be harmed - that wasn't in the agreement. He was just as angry as Julia was over that matter.

"I'll teach them..." he muttered to himself, "... I'll teach them all! Julia, M, Q... they'll pay for underestimating me!"

He slammed his laptop shut and began to think up a diabolical plan.

TO BE CONTINUED...?

and with that, Moonlight is officially over!

I'm moving away from my AAI series for now (hence that question mark), and instead, a persona book will be taking it's place in the rotation.

thank you for reading!
