Shes getting worse

"Y-Your arm...its.... GONE?!?" She seemed startled by you yelling and she shook her head no.

"It's not gone. Well, sorta." You Continued to stare at the metallic arm that now replaced her normal one. It looked surprisingly good and well made, looking like Octarian tech.

"HEADSETS!!"

"C-calm down!" She put her hands up, scared. You were furious. How could she keep something like this from you?! You got up and walked over to her, causing her to back away slightly.

You pulled at her sleeve a bit so you could see her shoulder. She turned bright red as you touched her bare skin near her arm. The skin around her metallic arm was red and scarred. You could also see other old scars from many many years ago.

You ran your fingers over where the metal arm met her skin. She winced slightly and bit her lip. You frowned as you saw how bad it was.

"Headsets....why would you keep this from me? You know I care a lot about you and I don't like it when you don't tell me these things."

"...I just...I don't know. I just didn't want you to worry about me...." you frowned again at her words. You put your hand on her cheek and she looked away.

"I worry about you no matter what you do. You're reckless, a fighter, and over all someone who gets hurt a lot. And don't even try to deny it. Headsets, no matter what happens, Im here for you and I want you to know that."

She took a deep breath and sighed. She then smiled. "I know. I just wanted to hear it~" she had a grin on her face and you just stared at her. You walked away from her and flopped onto your bed, burying your head in a pillow.

She laughed and walked over to you as she fixed her sleeve. She sat down next to you and put her non metal arm on your back. "Hey, it could be worse. I could've lost both arms." You groaned at her little joke, causing her to laugh again. "Aw, is little Y/N upset? Am I-"

You cut her off by throwing a pillow at her face. She didn't say anything and it was your turn to laugh. She took the pillow then put it on your head, smiling.

You and her just laughed and spoke for a while. She told you about her mission and about everything that happened to her and everything she saw. You were amazed by just how much she saw and did.

After a while, both of you fell asleep. You were in your squid form on her back as she slept on her stomach.

In the morning, you woke up first and watched her for a moment as she slept. She seemed peaceful and you smiled as you quietly got up and left the room. You went to go make breakfast and decided pancakes would be good.

You baked and eventually Headsets sleepily walked out of your room and into the kitchen, sitting down at the table and putting her head down on it.

"Half asleep?" She slightly nodded and you laughed. You put her plate of pancakes next to her head and she sat up when she smelt it. She started to eat and seemed to like it since she finished in around a minute or two.

Once both of you were done, you decided to go to the Square to get Headsets some new clothes and to just hang out. You waited outside the shop while she went in.

In a few minutes, she walked out wearing her new gear. She had a black hoodie, Navi blue pants, her headsets and locket, and hunting boots. She also had a bag with her that she didn't have before.

"Nice look." You said as she approached you. She gave you the bag without saying anything, confusing you slightly. You opened it and took out the pair of blue headsets that were in it.

"I just thought that since I wear headsets and all it could be cool if you had some as well.... you don't gotta wear them if you don't want to of course...." she looked away, blushing and you smiled as you put them on.

"Thanks. I love them." She smiled and both of you went to go hang out and talk a bit.
