It had only been a few days since she had left and you couldn't stop thinking about her. It was killing you not being able to be with her.
Whenever you were down, you would clutch your locket and take deep breaths. It calmed you down and helped. You had put a photo of you and her in the locket and now never took it off.
You helped the agents more with some small missions and grew close to the others. It was started to become fun hanging out with them and less awkward.
You even started trying turf war more. You now didn't care about your small size and became a very good player. You and your trusty F/W could defeat many string teams.
You had formed a team with Agents 3, 4 and 8 and called yourselves the Secret Squad. Most people now knew about you and you were becoming more popular. Though you didn't care about that very much.
Every Friday, you would go to Moray Towers and would watch the sun rise and the sun set. You wondered if Headsets was watching it too, wherever she was.
You hoped she was ok. You missed her so much. Even if you were happy, it wasn't the same without her.
Your family started visiting more and ended up moving to a house close to yours. Your brother would always come to play Super Smash Brothers Ultimate and you started playing as Pit from Kid Icarus. Both of you got really good at the game and we're good on a team together.
Time went by, and there wasn't any news from Headsets. You were worried but knew she wouldn't want you to just worry about her, right?
Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. You got impatient and got an idea. You took a bottle and a paper. You wrote a message and placed it into the bottle.
You walked to the port where she had left with her boat so long ago. You looked at the bottle again, seeing threw the clear class to see the note inside of it.
You took a deep breath before throwing it as far as you could into the water. You hoped it got to her as you watched it disappear from your view.
As time went by, you started to think about her less and less. You focused on the present and less on the past. You never forgot her, but you definitely didn't prioritize her.
You would still go to Moray Towers, but now only once a month. Time kept moving and you along with it. Months went by and she wasn't back.
You weren't sure if she would return. Maybe she forgot? Maybe she doesn't want to come back? Maybe she's gone for good?
As you thought, you took a deep breath and immediately silenced those thoughts. She wouldn't do that. She'd be back. You just had to wait for her. No matter how long it takes.
To be continued....
