"How was the date?" Marvin asked; a passing attempt at conversation with Martha. She did not look like she wanted to talk; but then again, she has never looked like she wanted to talk, at least for as long as he has known her over the past six years.
"Terrible" was her reply. Marvin looked at her, studying her face for perhaps a hint on what his reaction should be. "The man who has never had an orgasm", that was what she called her date, almost with pity. Martha looked at Marvin with disappointment in her eyes.
"He couldn't come."
