CHAPTER 19

“Ok what do you want?” Elijah asked me.  It took us 15 minutes to reach the mall and we have only been here 5 minutes and he's moving like a dick. Seriously? “What is your problem? We have been here for 5 minutes.” I said to him in a 'are you serious' tone. He rolled his eyes and pushed his hands in his pants pocket.

Every girl that passed him looked at him like their life depended on him but he didn’t seem to care. “Lydia! Get in here now!” Jordan shouted from the store opposite to the one Elijah and I were in. “What?” I asked as I approached him. He pointed at a mannequin that was half naked

“Seriously? That’s what you called me for? To show me a half naked mannequin?” I asked Jordan but he just laughed at me. “ No I called you to try it on.” He said. What?! No I am not putting that on he must be out of his mind. That clothing is just too sexual. “What?! Hell no I am not putting that on!” I shouted at him but he just laughed louder.

He looked over at Elijah whom I forgot was standing there and spoke to him. “Ok be honest with me, wouldn’t she look amazing in that?” Jordan asked Elijah pointing at the clothing. Elijah eyed the clothing and then looked at me from head to toe. “I don’t know how she would look in that. But I think it’s best if you tried it on.” He said. I looked at him disbelief, I can’t believe that he’ll want me to try on that disgraceful piece of clothing.

I shock my head and walked out of the store leaving them both standing there laughing. “Hello princess.” Said a voice. I stopped and looked back to see one of my ex-boyfriends, Smith. “What do you want smith?” I asked him in an annoyed tone. He walked up to me, his brown hair jumping with every step he takes. “Oh, don’t be like that princess. Anyway I can’t tell you what I want quite yet but I will very soon.” He said as he tucked a lose strand of my hair behind my ear.

He walked away not sparing another glance at me. I stood there staring at his back as he walked away. “What did he want?” Jordan asked snapping me back to reality. “A-am, nothing, he wanted nothing.” I said more like a whisper but I knew he heard it. “Ok then, well I don’t know about you two but I want some Ice-cream.” Jordan announced as he walked toward the ice-cream store.

I chuckled at his behaviour but followed him anyway. Then something caught my eye. No I can’t believe it, it was so beautiful. I walked toward it stretching my hands out to touch it but then I looked at the price and my hand dropped. It was to much. I mean, I could afford it if I had my credit card on me but I didn’t so I just pictured myself wearing it.

ELIJAH’S POV

“Ok then, well I don’t know about you two but I want some ice-cream.” Jordan said as how walked to the ice-cream place. Lydia and I followed him but I couldn’t stop my mind from wondering how Lydia will look in such little clothing.

I stopped once I realised she wasn’t there. Where the hell was she? I looked around as my eyes landed on her back. She was looking at a diamond earing. I must say that it was beautiful. I walked up to her but she didn’t notice, she was to caught up in her own world. Then a frown came onto her face when she looked at the price.

She just stood there looking at if like if she stared at it she would get it so I did the most gentleman thing I could think of. “Boo!” I shouted in her ear. She jumped but turned and punched me in my stomach, I didn’t feel anything. Hell, I didn’t even move. She looked so angry at me. “What the fucking hell?! W-what do you think you’re doing?” she asked as she took deep breaths to calm her heart beat down.

“Well you were staring at that,” I paused as I pointed toward the earing. “so I decided to scare you.” I explained. A smile came onto her lips and I felt good that I was the reason she was smiling. “Next time don’t do that.” She said as she took one last glance at the earings . “Am tell Jordan that I’m in the men’s room please.” I lied.

I waited for he to enter the ice-cream store to enter the jewellery store, which by the way only has women in it. I don’t like when women look at me like if I’m a piece of meat. “Can I have those diamond earings.” I said as I pointed toward it. The woman just stood there looking at my body. I snapped my fingers in-front of her face and she seemed to have come out of her trance.

“Y-yes, um do..do you want anything else?” she asked as she took a few glances and my ‘spot’. “ No just that.” I said and she nodded and put the earings in a black smoothe leather box. While she was doing that I turned around because I felt eyes on me but as soon as I did every woman in the jewellery store eyes were on me.

Feeling a bit awkward I smiled showing all my teeth and all of them said, “Awwww.” At the same time. I hate desperate women. I turned back and paid the casher and pushed the box in my jeans pocket and walked out the store.

LYDIA’S POV

“Jordan, Elijah said that he will be in the men’s room.” I told Jordan when I walked into the ice-cream store. He nodded and handed me my chocolate ice-cream and we took a seat. “Mhmm” I said as I tasted it, it was so delicious. “Tastes good right?” he said and I nodded. “ So who was that guy back there?” Jordan asked.

I hesitated for a moment but I told him. “Well that guy was my ex-boyfriend.” I said and he chuckled. “A little gay to be your ex.” He said. I nodded. “He is totally gay, to be honest I don’t even know how we were even dating cause he wasn’t even into girls.” I said and we both laughed. After a moment of silence Jordan spoke up. “So I was wondering, will you go on a date-“ he was cut of my Elijah. “I’m back. Tell me what I missed?” he asked as he sat down.

“Nothing really, Jordan was just asking me questions. Oh! What were you saying Jordan?” I asked I almost forgot that he was telling me something. “Nevermind.” He said and I looked at Elijah but he was on the phone so I decided to listen to his conversation. “What….no….shut up….listen, that will not happen because he is to weak…. I know idiot…whatever bye.” And he hanged up. “So can we go now?” Elijah asked. I nodded and we headed out of the store.
