CHAPTER 20
“What do you mean no?!” I yelled at Elijah. “No. there is no other meaning of no.” he said in a matter-of-factly tone. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms and looked out of the window.
When we came in the car, the driver whose name is Hank, had a little disagreement with his mate over the phone. Apparently, she’s pregnant but he doesn’t want kids so for the past fifteen minutes we have been listening to them argue.
That was until he came of the phone and I asked Elijah to let me go to school since being at their pack-house was boring and that I needed an education.
Who was I kidding, I couldn’t give less a shit about school, I just wanted and excuse to get away from…them. But seeing that he won’t let me go I had to do something to make him let me, I needed a plan. “Oh shit.” Elijah said. I Looked at him confused wondering what he could be mad about. “What happened?” I asked and looked at him as he constantly tapped his foot.
“My parents are here.” He said. Wow. Truth be told, I honestly didn’t expect him to have family-no that came out wrong-I mean, that I didn’t expect him to have a family but-you know what never-mind. We pulled in to the driveway of the pack-house that two porches and a mercades parked there. Wow whoever those people were, they were loaded.
We parked and hopped out of the vehicle leaving the shopping bags in the car. “Eli! Eli! Eli!” a small voice yelled, it sounded so cute. I saw a little boy running with a spiderman toy in his arms toward Elijah. Elijah lifted him up and planted a soft kiss on his cheek. Awww. I thought as I watched them hug.
“Hey buddy!” Elijah said. “I missed you so much.” The little boy said. “I missed you more.” Elijah said.
“It’s good to see you son.” Said a voice behind me. I looked back and saw a man that looked like the older version of Elijah with grey hair wearing a black suit. I guess hansome runs in this family. That’s when it hit me, the man was his father, but who was the little boy. “Eli? Who is she?” the little boy asked as he watched me with questioning brows.
I began to feel nervous. What will he introduce me as? Well this is Lydia, the girl I kidnapped for no real reason then carried her shopping twice. I said in my mind. “Well, that is Lydia.” He said. That was the first time he called me by my first name in public, he usually calls me little wolf, though I’m not complaining.
“Hello. I am Michael and this is my little son Kyle and you’ve already met Elijah.” Michael said extending his arms for me to shake them. I took his hand and smiled. “Is she your girlfriend?” the little boy, Kyle whispered to Elijah. Elijah shook his head a small smile evident on his lips. “No we are just….friends.” he said and looked at me for a brief moment before leaving and walking inside the house.
I stood there, looking at the forest and wondered if my family misses me. I doesn’t seem so, I know my father, if he wants something he gets it but I don’t understand why he hasn’t come for me. Does he not love me?
“Are you coming?” Jordan asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. “No..um, I think I’ll stay out here.” I said and frowned. “Am, no you’re not. You’re coming inside that house even if I have to drag you in there.” He said. I looked up at him and realised that he wasn’t joking I sighed and threw my hands up in frustration and began walking toward the house.
A wide smile came across his lips as he realised that he got me to go. We walked through the front door and I saw quite a few people. I saw Elijah playing with his little brother and a little girl beside him, I saw Michael and a blonde woman who kind of looks like my mom kissing in the corner, and the two girls who were with me in the hospital were there.
“That is my little sister, Mallia.” He said pointing to the little girl beside Elijah, she looked nothing like Jordan. She had golden brown hair with slight dimples and the most beautiful, big brown eyes I have ever seen. “She’s pretty.” I said and he nodded in agreement. He was about to tell me something when the Ariel came and pulled him into a kiss.
He was trying to pull away from her but she didn’t want to stop. Well this is awkward. I rolled my eyes and walked off and went and sat down in the kitchen where no one was. I walked over to the fridge and poured myself some milk and just sat there, waiting, thinking.
“Who are you?” A soft but stern voice asked. I turned around to see the lady that was making out with Elijah’s dad. She looked absolutely stunning, she had on a fitted red dress with her blonde hair in a French braid and looked like she was in the mid-fourties.
“I-I’m Lydia.” I said. I don’t know why I was nervous, maybe it was the way she looked at me or maybe it was the fact that I felt… weird. She walked closer into the kitchen and sat down next to me. “You’re from martin’s pack aren’t you?” she asked and I nodded. How did she know? I gave her a questioning look and raised my eyebrows when I saw her smile.
“What?” I asked her as she continued to laugh more and more. “Did he take you to make you luna?” she asked. “What?! No!” I blurted then sighed when I realised that I had no idea. “I don’t know.” I said and looked at the floor. She took my hands in hers and she smiled. “Are you here against your will.” She asked and I nodded slowly.
“Do you want to go home?” she asked as she cupped my chin in her hands. I continued to nod. Honestly I wasn’t paying much attention to her questions , I was wondering about how my parents and I used to go to the park and how josh and I used to play fight. I miss them so much. Then it hit me, I was talking to someone that I didn’t even know. Although, I seem to do that allot lately.
“Who are you?” I asked. She smiled and let go of my hands. “I’m Isabelle, the mother of the boy who kidnapped you.” She said and I smiled at her introduction. How did she know? Eh, it must be the mother’s thing.
“How did you know?” I asked her. She looked at me a sad look in her eyes. “Well, when you become a mother, things changes, you change, you sense when something is wrong with your child. But now, ever since he lost her, he is not the same. So that was a wild guess.” She said with a slight frown. “How many?” I asked her.
The look on her face told me she was confused. “Children?” i finished. “Oh, I have three kids. Elijah, Liam and Kyle.” She said. Liam? “Well, I’ve seen Kyle and Elijah but not Liam. Is he here?” I asked. She shook her head. “No, he’s away doing… business, but he’ll be here in the next two weeks or so.” She said. “Oh.” I replied and began to feel sleepy.
Then the door bursts open. “Mom have you seen-“ he stops when his eyes landed on me.
