Jaehyun's pov
I wiped my tear and walked a little closer to Taeyong, who was still passed out on the floor for the second time today.
"Jaehyun, can you get Taeyong into my car? I'm just going to take him home for the rest of the day. Yuta, you need to find out if there's any reversal spell. Sicheng, get Mark to come before it's too late to warn him of his wolf. Meet up in Taeyong's room in two hours." Miss Lee ordered.
I carefully lift Taeyong's light form into my arms, and confusedly followed Miss Lee out of the hole in the wall to her car. She unlocked the doors and opened the backseat, motioning for me to sit him down.
I ease into the car and place Taeyong's head on my thigh. I smooth my fingers through his white hair and listen to the quiet music playing from the radio as she drives.
We pull into a large house, its walls were painted a calming shade of pale yellow. The pathway towards the porch was scattered flat stones that were pressed flat into the earth. Miss Lee parks her car and turns off the ignition before unbuckling.
"Get him inside, Jaehyun. I'll show you to his room." She calmly says and unlocks the front door to her house. I pull Taeyong into my arms once again and follow her lead into the house then up the stairs.
A small bittersweet smile rises to my lips as I look down at the male I love. I was over-the-moon ecstatic to have Taeyong once more, to have him in my arms. This is a moment I'd been waiting centuries for! I have my love safe in my hold, and I can tell he's feisty. He's an exact copy of my Taeyong, down to the scar near his eye.
Amidst my joy, I couldn't help but be a little sad. If I hadn't come in his life so quickly, maybe this wouldn't have happened. Maybe he wouldn't have had to fight his father. Maybe he wouldn't be in an emotionless state if I had moved him just out of the way of Lucifer's power.
"Lay him on his bed, I'll go get the first aid." Miss Lee says then steps into the joining bathroom. She cut my out of my 'what if's and made me gaze once more over the sleeping high school senior.
He looked beautiful as he slept. His stoic face was softened, his nose crinkled slightly as he slept. His white hair fanned over his light blue pillow. He looks angelic.
Miss Lee wandered back into the bedroom, a small clear case of medical supplies in her hands. She carefully sits down beside Taeyong and begins disinfecting the small cuts on his face.
It wasn't until she began aiding his arms did she lose her composure slightly. I noticed a tear drip down her cheek and land on his wrist, where new marks were trying to heal.
"Jaehyun, I knew this day would come. From the minute I gave birth and named him Taeyong, I knew. Lucy had informed me about your curse you share while I first held Taeyong." Miss Lee began. She wiped her tear and began to stitch the largest wound.
"Cursed or not, Taeyong is very easily hurt. He may not always show it verbally, or even physically, but he does get hurt." She says and motions over his scarred wrists.
"I try my best to help him with this, but I don't think I can. As much as I hate the thought of letting my baby date, I have to let you try to save him. Please save my son from himself, Jaehyun. I hate the thought of him dying more than you two dating." She cried, her eyes became red and her face got a little puffy.
"I won't let you down, Miss Lee. I'll try my hardest to make him happy, even if I get hurt in the process." I promised with tears in my eyes. My head began to throb as I held back a wave of liquid sadness.
"Thank you." She whispered and wiped the tears from her bloodshot eyes. I only nodded my head in reply, too scared my voice would waver.
With Mark!Mark's pov
"Come on, Mark! You could've been a star football player by now! Colleges scout for football more commonly than art! Why you do even bother sketching and writing song lyrics?" The school's quarterback asked me. I think his name was Jungwoo?
"You know art is what I'm good at. I can't run for crap, and I'm not very strong." I replied and looked back down to my sketch of Yuta. I just had to put the finishing touches on his eyes and I would be done.
"Where's your friends? You're always with them." Jungwoo asked. He smiled kindly and sat down beside me.
"I left them. Their situation seemed too crazy for me so I ran." I muttered in reply. I sunk and put my face in my hands. As I sat in my sorrows, Jungwoo gently rubbed my back.
"Hey, um, there's a party tonight, would you want to go with me?" Jungwoo shyly asked in a small voice. How shy he was left me kind of shocked.
"You want me to go with you? I thought you only stuck to dumb blondes." I asked in confusion. I slid my drawing of Yuta and pencils into my backpack.
"They always asked me, I never asked them. Besides, I was never really into girls anyways.." he trailed off and scratched the back of his neck.
"What was the last part? I didn't hear you." I asked.
"Nah, it does really matter, don't worry about it. So, will you go with me? Please!" Jungwoo asked with puppy eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Sure, what's the worst that can happen? I drink something?" I shrugged and nodded my head. Jungwoo smiled widely and pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
